*Trembling*

Blasted thing!

I can't stop shaking, I can't bear the idea of leaving the house, my adreneline is through the roof and there is absolutely no reason why! I mean, I had a dream where I was in "Being human" and I was Annie, it was full moon and I had to protect my 2 cats from the werewolves, so I hid in the bathroom with them, which was a bit stressful, but why on earth would that set off an anxiety attack?!

GAH!

That seems like a horribly stressfull nightmare. I think it's possible that your dreams/nightmares can have as much impact on your feelings as experiences what you're awake.

If you think about it, werewolves trying to eat your cats would be highly traumatic if it possible outside of dreams and you wouldn't ask yourself why you had a panic attack about it.

Also, the dream itself may have some meaning that your unconsious may want to tell your consious mind that may be difficult to deal with as you when awake.

Regardless of reason, I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks :). You're sweet. I guess I should make myself some chamomile tea to take the edge off.

I agree that it was a stress dream, since it was obvious that if the werewolves noticed us, a bathroom door wouldn't hold them off at all. And my cats are so loved and precious to me.

I suspect anxiety towards the real world, with the werewolves being humanity, the cats being themselves and me feeling like a ghost because I feel so completely powerless when faced with other people. I really do feel like they walk right through me without even noticing I'm there, so how can I protect my cats from that?

So really, it's a fear dream, isn't it. No wonder I'm terrified of leaving the house! :P

You're welcome.

I get supprised sometimes when people seem to be so hard on themselves by being effected by a nightmare when they can seem so real.

Have you thought about going to an assertiveness course? It can help give you a few methods to deal with the werewolves.

Another thing that could work to help encourage assertive behaviour is trying to train a dog, I know it has helped me. Training my bf's dog to obey me helped me speak louder, changed my body language and posture and made it easier for me to stand up for myself.

btw, we also have a cat in residence here, I adore him and he seem to adore all of us (he even scent-marks the dog). Al (the cat) is three years old and Toby (the dog) is about seven months. Can I ask you about your cats? Cats are one of my special interests.

Dreams set off attacks for me sometimes.
All the dreams I remember are strongly violent and sometimes when I wake up I can still feel hands on my neck, or whatever. D:

I really just find people overwhelming. So much noise and invasion of personal space. It's distressing. I know it's silly to be affected by it, so I try not to be, but some days they get to me, you know? :)

I walk my BFF's dogs with her, so I've developed dog-sense to an extent  . Al sounds like he knows who's boss in the house! ;) I have Delilah, who's about 7 and Charis her daughter, who's 5 :). Delilah was a rescue who came to me pregnant, so I got a little more than I bargained for  . Still, I found homes for the other 3 kittens, and now my two are both spayed, so it's all good. Let's see, personalities... Well, they're both princesses, obviously, but Delilah is the most ladylike cat I've ever met. She's so delicate! And gets in a tremendous fluster at the least little thing, yet is a complete tart for affection. She's a catnip addict and also amazingly dim :). Charis has a very pronounced sense of humour which tends towards practical jokes. She's incredibly smart, and adores me. She can purr for Britain! She also plays fetch and comes and tells me about her adventures when she's been outside. Her tail quivers whenever I pay her attention :) . I adore the pair of them :).

Yes, my dreams are always very vivid. I've figured out that if I dream of a house it symbolises me, and if I dream of water it symbolises my emotional state, but some of the symbols my unconcious produces are downright peculiar ;).

It's not silly in the least, I have problems with crowds myself. Before Toby, I also found it difficult to talk with staff in shops. I still have problems with being in ques because of people pushing against my back when they're in a hurry (as if it would make the que move faster because of pushing me  ). Being aware of how things make you feel is a good thing, it's only when you allow them to stop you doing what you like to do that this kind of thing becomes an issue.

Your cats sound adorable and full of happiness.

Al pulls on Toby's facial fur with his mouth when he's had enough puppy antics and he taught Toby how to open doors. They can both be kind of cheeky at times but they're great, cute, sweet and caring too.

Why is it always the cats who teach the dogs stuff?

Then again, I was talking to Charis yesterday and she explained that she didn't need to rule the world - she already has a willing slave and a house where she is queen!

I don't know, perhaps there's a reason they were worshiped as Gods in Ancient Egypt. :D

Ah, well, they're smart enough to appreciate the joy of now. They probably decided ruling humans was too much like hard work. :)
