Self-honesty can't be bad.

Go the extra mile and create a new, empty group called "People who care deeply about my health and peace of mind" for more punch.

But seriously, seeing that group labeled friends probably had all kinds of nasty subliminal effects that made you treat them way better than they deserved.

Btw, this thread is in the haven on purpose.

What purpose is that? Forgive me for making a little joke; it seemed to me that you were somewhat ok to "officially" downgrade your relationship with some people, but you gave no indication that you regretted doing it. I'll bow out.

It's not about downgrading anything or feeling regret.

It's more about realizing a reality in my life : I have no friends.

Friends are people who would call you and visit you and want to do things with you on regular basis. Friends are people who would call you to just check on you or to talk to you and not just when they need something or favor from you.

None of those 51 contacts fit this criteria.

Renaming the "Friends" group to "Acquaintances" is the logical thing to do. Somehow , I felt better after doing that, and my msn list feels now more....right.

And I am venting about it....hence it''s in the haven.

I have like two or three friends in real life. Though I honestly think that 'aquaintances' would be more apt. :\
