It's Monday again!
Well, the BF was taken home last night at 1am. I got back home at 2am and was woken at 8am by mum (thanks mum!) and then the postman (why do men always have to bang so loudly on doors?!).
BF was supposed to be taken home at 10pm, but we kept putting it off and off because we couldn't bear to be parted for yet another 5 days
. Just lay on the sofa clutching each other desperately.
So, why go through this? We've been together for 2 years now, and still can't live together. Most of his money goes on alimony and travel expenses to and from work, and I've been out of work for the past 10 years, so whenever I apply for jobs no employer will touch me. The only way we could ever live together is if he won the lottery or I got employed. I don't even need that much, just £16,000 a year, which is nothing!
But every job I find in this area seems to be teaching, part-time, contract, nursing, recruitment, IT, sales, or marketing. All the admin jobs are oversubscribed by about 100 applicants per job, so I just disappear down the cracks. I can't even move, because he can't leave his children (nor would I ask him to). Plus, it would mean starting over in a new town with no BF, no friends, and no support group - not an ideal situation by any means, although I have considered it.
So, every Monday, on the dot, I search for jobs. Again.
And so far today, from 7 different sources, I have found... *Drum roll please*... 2 jobs I can do, both of which have over 100 applicants. Yay.

Tell me about it. I'm a Emt-i and a cna. Guess whos waiting tables at a old folks home? When times get tough the qualified people take lower jobs until the entry level jobs are taken by over qualified people. How can a teenager with no expierence compete with a person with a degree whos been working for ten years?
