Today was another appointment and he wanted to do a mock interview. Interviews as stressful enough. Therapy sessions are stressful enough. Why the hell would I want to pretend to go through an interview? I can't role-play. It's stupid. He's not going to help me. How can I prepare for a mock interview? I can't. A real interview has a specific job description for which I prepare extensively. This wouldn't help me!

It's bad enough he took me off my Wellbutrin because he claimed it wasn't working... meanwhile he's not even qualified to prescribe me anything in replacement. He doesn't even get that it's not about how well the Wellbutrin is or isn't working (and I still had the option of having it boosted to a higher dosage), but he just instantly took away a morning routine that was important to me. Gone.

So screw it. I'm not going back. If I'm not even able to be on the Wellbutrin, I'm not going to bother even going. I'm not going to go through a mock interview or jump through any of these stupid hoops. I'll muddle through the way I've been muddling through for 33 years (like he was nice enough to point out to me) until I can see my old doctors again. Jackwagon. :x

 Why must some Doctors play god? I would say find a shrink you can work with.

Eesh they always find some stupid inconsiderate way to stress you out, most of them seem to lack empathy, hope you find someone better.

Feeling incredibly frustrated myself right now after just seeing a so called Adhd specialist(a psych) today for the second time, only to be told after researching alternatives to ritalin- which gave me major side effects, that I could only try atomoxetine or dextroamphetamine as an alternative, it's my damn body and life yet still he won't let me try something safer with milder effects, done with seeing him unless he starts thinking outside the box instead of following square prescribing guidelines.

I've yet to find a shrink I really connect with.
Thought I'd found one, but he, like my parents, seemed to be more chastising when I talked about my anxieties than encouraging.
Best to just find one who'll prescribe you the goods and leave you be for the most part otherwise, IMHO.

Manny was a hurdle to get to the psychiatrist. Therapy doesn't work for me because talking about stuff doesn't decrease my stress, problem solving does. Pretending to do an interview doesn't help me, providing me strategies for interviewing will. And I tried coaching him on how to counsel me but he refused and wants to do things his way. So screw it. It's not worth trying to jump this hurdle to get to the one who can write the 'scripts.

I did have doctors that I connected with and I realize now how lucky that is. My old psychiatrist diagnosed me as AS and it hit me out of the blue. She had to spend time explaining to me how I have Aspergers Syndrome for me to accept it. Once I have the insurance issue straightened out and hopefully have an insurance that they accept, I'm going right back there!

No more Manny.

I had to stop getting Job seekers allowance / welfare when I was younger because they insisted on job interview role-play in front of a crowd of NT underachievers and undesirables. I explained my anxiety to 3 women who worked there and they all laughed at me and said you'll be fine. I never went back, and had no money for several months.

I'm the angry letter writing type. This guy is being turned loose on alot of people who may also be harrassed out of treatment. He's a therapist. He is there first and foremost to listen which this jackhole obviously can't do. Employeers usually take a written corrospondance (a well written, intelligent one - not a rant) quite seriously. It may help someone else and help you shake off the bad taste this creep left...

That's a bit stupid that he takes you off drugs without being able to put you back on them again- what if he made a mistake?
