"Heterosexual marrege=heaven. None-or gay/lesbian=hell&
Unedgucated Grammer warning. I am posting this to vent mildly for my sister.
Some old luncatic woman at my little sister's current church group has been nagging her for years on end to get married.
This person isn't related to my family! My fundamentalist sister and a friend have desperatly tried to point out that the Bible doesn't say marrege is vital for going to heaven, but of course nothing stopped. [booooo
]
In the previous years, they sent her letters and dateing web sight prophiles that she didn't give a squat about. She wasn't ready or interested! I presonaly think she's not ready myself.
A couple of times, two old women apologised for sending her stuff about a cheating male. Oh gosh, ooops.
'sigh' They should apologise for forceing and waisting moments of her life, in my oppinion.
Another cool girl was being harassed by these said two lunatic women, and teamed up with my sister, in a vain effort to shut them up. Well, we know pushy, proud people do not listen to proof or reason! All the while I have both lived there, and moved away at least twice now while alone and single. The lunatics didn't care. I assumed this was because they thought I was ugly and stupid.
Last Sunday, she rudely interupted any word out of my sister's mouth, went to her car, tossed in a nonsence book about "being his help meat", said "I'm not pushing you in the slightest", and rudely slammed her back door. My sister was really angry, and said she's going to leave the congregation if that lunatic bothers her again.
Yeah boo hoo. Leaveing a church of proud hypocrates and bigots. Gee, what a loss. My father agreed with me when we were talking about how rediculess that group really is. One of their young men was a fine example of the hypocrate and bigot blend. He literaly led lessons, talking about other groups in a bigoted way.
He feels smarter and more holy than other people, and it was obvious. My father and I always readied our minds for nonsence when he stepped up. My father added, that he drives like a total lunatic to. Tailgateing, speeding, cutting people off and so forth, then talking like he's so innocent. =.= I hope you're thinking "wow, he sounds like a piece of work." He is a piece of work, but some of the other members are no better. He has indeed led lessons talking about marrege. He believes marrege must be fullfilled as a Christian duty. At the same time, he hates gay or lesbian marrege. Yeah, that makes such sence right? Not to me. I even heard him do an anti Aithiests and evolutionist sermon. This wasn't just to make his own "disproove" attempt. It was more like he was arrogantly strokeing his ego each time, and some of the members would just nod their heads in humble agreement, because he read out of their book.
This group would fill a number of things on a negative stigma check list. Though, letting an obviously omish dreassed guy preach in their church before realising he was useing a different bible, isn't one of those on your check list, I imagine. It happened with this crew. *bonk* Like I say sarcasticly, big boo hoo if my sister leaves those people. Anyway, my sister is asking another women to talk to the lunatic about backing off. I thought, "Yeah right, good luck with that", because this person thinks women are inferior and should serve the male sex. Nice choice young sibling of mine.

People amaze me when they think there's anything in the Bible that gives them the slightest clue of what could send a person to Heaven or Hell. Very little is directly said about it and what is mentioned has an overall, lasting caveat that Judgment is at the sole discretion of God only. So, that pothead, tattooed, fabulous lesbian who swears like a sailor, drinks like a fish and howls at moon might just be welcomed into Heaven with open arms by Jesus himself because she greeted everyone in life with love and respect. As people in the mortal life, we have no way of knowing what anyone's final judgment will be, least of all our own. So our priority is to mind our own damned business and accept and love as many other people as possible in the time that we've got. Service and Sacrifice was the example Jesus provided us on earth, as told in the Gospel. That's what the Bible talks about. None of this homophobic, sexist crap. There's lesson one for Christians and so many damned churches miss this fundamental point to the belief. Hypocrisy isn't the word for this. Heresy is the word.
These people use religion as an excuse. It's all just an excuse. Here is their ticket to make believe that they are better than they are. It's an illusion and they try to keep people believing in it by dragging others down so they look on higher ground. As a Christian myself, I'm fierce about this crap because I feel like this is my backyard. These people cast an evil reputation on me and everyone who believes like I do. They're manipulating and bullying people. That shouldn't be tolerated. God has many houses. It is best to find one that has a congregation that actually accepts his Word and tries, at the very least, to live the Golden Rule.

Gotta agree. Too many people and churches overlook the real message that religion (any religion) tries to teach - love and respect everyone. Probably the easiest example to cite is well known by those who have been around the Judeo-Christian religions is that those 3 wordss pretty much summarize the 10 commandments.
My mother was one of those people, by the way.
She once told me that illegal immigrants won't go to Heaven and God doesn't love them because they are breaking the law.
- God loves everyone
- God isn't held to US Law
- Jesus instructed people to love and visit lawbreakers
- Xenophobia is stupid
She wouldn't listen to me, though. She was always saying dumb crap like that.
When I was 25, I lost my temper with her and pointed out that although she was 30 years older than me, she was educated in a two-room schoolhouse in the rural Midwest that only took her to the 10th grade without a diploma, she was raised around only white people, she has only lived in that rural community and then the city where I was raised where she continues to have these rural fear-based views, and her beliefs went from defiant Roman Catholic directly to tambourine-shaking Evangelist with no research or thought into any other belief systems. There's a chance that I might know just a tad more about the world than her, having actually seen and learned stuff. That really made her mad. LOL
