i am lying in a room surounded by my closetst friends, all looking worried and concerned but understanding, they are all patting me on the shoulder and one person is even leaving the room i am in crying, next, i load a revolver, put it in my mouth and pull the trigger, then everything goes red, then i get a strange euphoric happy feeling

this dream has been troubling me, because even though all my friend were sad, i still did it, and felt good about it afterwoods

In your dream you felt good about it afterwards? Because there wouldn't be any "feeling" at all after that.

Maybe a year or so ago a friend on here got me started on looking into dream psychology, I ended up getting a dream book and had the chance to analyze a few of my own rather closely.

My advice I wouldn't take it too literally. The best way I can really describe dreams, its like your brain is having corporate minutes with itself. Its running through scenarios, concerns, internal changes, and as it does it projects those ideas onto symbolic objects. Death usually means change (not always necessarily though) and those friends could be literal just as much as this dream could be about you 'putting to death' things you loved about yourself to adapt as your getting older. Life's full of that as well.

I'd say you might want to get a small dream book to review when you have things like this. Once you understand the internal logic its pretty much the same for most of them. The main thing to remember though - dreams are usually not quite as ominous as they appear on their face and if they are about something ominous it won't exactly be as it looks in a literal sense.

Hmm. Maybe this is not about suicide but about a prospect for happiness that you have but that would require leaving the social network you have now, which would make them sad but encouraging of you? Or some subtler change of mental outlook that makes your identity shift a bit and you find happiness in this new identity, which means some level of estrangement from your friends?

Oh yeah, techstep made a good point above that the "friends" aren't necessarily literal, but things you loved but have to give up to move in a new direction.

let me take a swag at it, courtesy of www.dreammoods.com-

Room
To dream that you are in a room, represents a particular aspect of yourself or a specific relationship. Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality. If you see a confined room, then it denotes that you feel trapped or repressed in a situation.
Suicide
To dream that you commit suicide, represents your desperate desire to escape from your waking life. You may be harboring feelings of guilt that you cannot get over and thus turning the aggression on yourself. You need to start approaching problems from a different angle. Alternatively, the dream suggests that you are saying good-bye to one aspect of yourself and hello to a whole new you. It is symbolic of a personal transformation or a new stage in your life.
To see someone [including the self] commit suicide in your dream, highlights your concerns for that person. Consider what characteristics and qualities you may be trying to "kill" and annihilate in your own self. Perhaps you hope that you are making attempts to get rid of those traits within your own self.
Friend
To see friends in your dream, signify aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to incorporate and acknowledge. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. To see someone else [like a friend] crying in your dream, may be a projection of your own feelings onto someone else. If you do not cry in your waking life, then seeing someone else cry may be a little easier to deal with then seeing yourself cry. To dream that someone is in tears, indicate that you need to rethink your actions and how your behavior may be affecting those around you. It may also be a cry for more consideration from those people in your life who nominally could be referred-to as "friends."
Gun
To see a gun in your dream, symbolizes aggression, anger, and potential danger. You may be dealing with issues of passiveness/aggressiveness and authority/dependence.
To dream that you are loading a gun, forewarns that you should be careful in not letting your temper get out of control. To dream that you shoot a person [including the self] with a gun, denotes your aggressive feeling and hidden anger toward that particular person or anger and disappointment towards the self and its issues with existential efficacy.
Red
Red is an indication of raw energy, force, vigor, intense passion, aggression, power, courage, impulsiveness and passion. The color red has deep emotional and spiritual connotations. Consider the phrase "seeing red" to denote anger. Alternatively, the color red in your dream indicates a lack of energy. You are feeling tired or lethargic. Red is also the color of danger, violence, blood, shame, rejection, sexual impulses and urges. Perhaps you need to stop and rethink your actions.
Blood
To see blood in your dream, represents life, love, and passion as well as disappointments. To dream that you are bleeding or losing blood, signifies that you are suffering from exhaustion or that you are feeling emotionally drained. It may also denote bitter confrontations between you and your friends. Your past actions may be haunting you.
Head
To see a head in your dream, signifies wisdom, intellect, understanding and rationality. It may also represent your accomplishments, self-image, and perception of the world. Shooting oneself in the head therefore, would indicate that the subject feels exterior circumstances take precedence over one's intrinsic experiential values.
Mouth
To see a mouth in your dream, signifies your need to express yourself or talk about an issue that's bothering you. Alternatively, the dream suggests that you have said too much and you need to keep your mouth shut. To dream that you or someone else is being shot in the head, signifies poor judgment or a bad decision that you have made and regretted. To dream of shooting oneself in the mouth indicates that one feels one cannot adequately control what speech [in terms of content]comes out of one's mouth, which can cause difficulty for the subject- or it could be a pun on "shooting one's mouth off."
Happy
To dream that you are happy after suicide, may be a compensatory dream and is often a dream of the contrary. You may be trying to compensate for the sadness or stress in your waking life, with fantasies of a better life in the hereafter, and of permanent escape from one's troubles.
