Why do I screw up a lot?

When I am in school I have a hard time following the teachers directions for some reason. I have a mind of my own and every time I do something wrong people always have to correct me and it is really frustrating for me. Sometimes I could be half way done with a assignment and when I am finished with it people will tell me that I am doing the assignment the wrong way and they will tell me to do it again. I have a hard time focusing on the directions of the assignment to like I would want to do something my way and the other people will be like what I call correcting Nazis and will say "Dude, that's not how you do the assignment here let me show you" it is mostly teens that tell me if I screw up and they make like a big deal out of this. There is also this other kid that sometimes I would be half way done with a assignment and he would look at my work and go "Dude, this is not how you do the assignment here let me show you!!" and I would feel like a idiot when he try's to explain this to me and I would get so frustrated. I also scew up simple directions because I am the lazy type I want to get things done and rush through it. I don't know why I keep screwing up and making mistakes but it has made me to give up on my self when I do a assignment and every time I do one I would just automatically think that I am going to fail. I am wondering am I the only one like this? I have frustrated so many teachers and teens because of this. They would get really irritated at me because I cant focus. I am not sure if this is the right section to post this question in because I am completely new here and I hope the moderators move it I put it here because this is a problem that I am dealing with and it is happening a lot.

Sounds like it might be a communication/understanding problem. I know it might be pedantic, but you might be served well to ask more questions and make sure you understand it correctly...not necessarily by raising your hand and asking in front of everyone but you could step up to the teacher and ask.

It might also help if you talked to the teachers in private about your problem with understanding the directions so that they know when you go to ask them about whatever assignment.

I think you screw up a lot because deep down, you know the assignment is BS, and unlike the other kids, there is a voice nagging in the back of your head, telling you to do something else, because the assignment is BS. Looking back on it, that was always what happened with me, but at the time I thought there was something wrong with me. Turns out there was something wrong with the education process itself.
