No. There is always going to be quite a bit of unsavoryness to life. You cannot let that impede your way to the savory stuff.
And: your weakness is your strength. I believe it with all my heart. Unique misfortune yields the opportunity for unique + transcendental ingenuity.
I get what you are saying, and I want to see life that way, but I can't. I am just not that mature yet, and I don't know if I ever will be at the rate things are going.
I have had so many chances to break out of my shell, but for some reason there was something holding me back. I have had so many chances to finally start my life, but now it seems like its "never" going to happen, and the more time that goes by, and the more opportunities I fail to see and act upon, my confidence just keeps plummeting.
I really truly feel like my life up to this point has been a waste. 100%. High school years were a waste. College years were a waste. It really hurts me to say that s**t, but its the truth. What have I really learned except how to be fake enough to "just get by' and compress my real self?
