yarrr..too much to talk about...have been having hard time living alone..i don't really have a support network..i can't communicate with my boyfriend without severely hurting him....and it is causing me to suffer a lot...but I can't explain any of this to him....it has been really hard on me....It is like we live in the same city, but have a long distance relationship...I love him a great deal, but my loneliness is really getting the best of me, and I don't know what to do.

I remember where you were living before and that was hard on you too, but in a very different way. Maybe you need to strike a balance and find a compatible roommate. Easier said than done, I know. It's easy for me to say I like to be alone but to be honest I don't think I would feel the same if I didn't have my son. He is so easy to be alone with. I'm sorry you're feeling sad, Poopy.

I'm sorry you're feeling down. You seem like a cool chick. Do you live with him at the moment?

Why is it that you can't talk to your boyfriend without hurting him?
Is it that the information is something that would hurt him or is your emotional state the thing that would hurt him? If it is the former, did you do something that would hurt him or is something that is hurting you likely to depress him? Friends are for support, if they aren't supportive, they aren't friends.

I only know to say it is nice to see you here again, but at least I can say that, dear one.

{{{{{awkward aspie hugs}}}}}

when you are up on stage or recording a youtube video, you are touching your listeners quite profoundly. we are affected a lot by your music and how you express it. even though we don't really know you, you're quite important to us as you speak to us creatively, from the heart. i think that very creative people often struggle with emotions like loneliness and depression.

i feel quite sad that you can't tell your boyfriend how you are feeling. that must be very upsetting to miss him yet be isolated from expressing your loneliness. i am a bit of a one-trick horse on this subject, but have you seen a counsellor who can give you helpful strategies for staying grounded and getting through the hard times when he is away?

I agree with hyperlexian about seeing a counsellor, I had counselling myself in my lowest points of having depression & it helped :D

Theres been times I found it hard to express my feeling to people I found writing an unsent letter helped me get my feelings off my chest & at the same time not hurting anyone. May be you could use your creative skills to make something special for your bf to express your feeling, like sing a song to him that best describes how you feel. I'm sure you bf will be very understanding & supporting of how you feel .

This dark time in your life will soon pass by.
I had them dark times too so your not alone in feeling like that!

Sid hugs. :O)

I'm sorry that you're feeling down at the moment. I've been where you are now, a few times. I did the crying and the not sleeping. Here's something that might cheer you up. I think about you when I listen to my Kinks Face to Face CD, because 'Big Black Smoke is on that one. I remember that video you sent me in a PM. :)

Quote:
Stumbling on a final rock, I pitch forward into a huge, cavernous room. The light is in the center of the room, suspended in the air above the floor. The ceiling is so high; it’s hidden from view by a darkness and distance that the light can’t seem to penetrate. Looking around the room, I see hundreds, thousands, of tunnels opening into the room and realize that I could have, perhaps, taken a different path to reach this destination.

As I look at the multitude of openings, I begin to see other travelers emerging from the tunnels. Some of them race towards the light as though they’re being chased by some mad demon and seemingly disappear into its center. Others, like me, look around in wonder and awe at the numerous tunnel openings and the massive room containing them. Some of these travelers grin at the sight of the openings and then calmly walk towards the light. Others cry out in anger, beating their hands on the ground and screaming into the air. Their cries rise and fall in a confusing concerto of pain and anger. Some of them eventually get up from the floor and, wandering aimlessly about the room, disappear down tunnels different from the ones they had originally traveled.

I glance at my hands and notice that the blood no longer falls from my fingers. In fact, the wounds and pains from my passage are gone! I feel refreshed, renewed. Close to me, a traveler lies on the ground crying and beating his fists against the hard floor. I walk over to him and ask, “What’s wrong? Why are you beating the floor with your hands?”

The sad traveler looks up at me and sobs, “’Cause now I’m faced with choosing another tunnel to walk, and I don’t know which one to choose. They all seem the same: featureless walls and floors that never seem to end. I’m so tired of walking. I’m tired, I’m cold, and this perpetual gloom seems to be never ending.”

“But what about the light?” I ask.

“What light? Are you nuts? Did the whispers in your tunnel drive you as mad as I think I’m becoming?”

I glance at the source of light in the center of the room and smile.

Have been sorta um..doing some stuff like that...have written some songs, but not really shared them with him...THe time I did share a song with him about it, it was a big flop, and my entire attempt to communicate him was a disaster....

My current mode of thinking is that it is all my fault...I am neurotically emotionally overdependent ...and crazy.. :( oh well...

OK just keep up writing the songs & keep them private in-till you can work on the communication issue, working with a counsellor can help you address that. As the best thing you can do right now in-till you start working with a therapist is just to express you feelings in song.

Oh while I think on give CBT a go, I did in the pass (computer based) & am in the middle of waiting to start one to one sessions with a CBT therapist.

I have an appointment with a councellor next week...I feel ok for now, but am unsure as to how passing it is..I don't want to go to this place that has been chosen for me..ugh...it is not most immediate thing on mind at moment..so my perception had shifted...I would beat myself to death needlessly if I allowed myself to stay in the bad part of my head...part of the bad part is produced by my placing the entire cause of my head problems on myself...so must spend brief times not thinking this is so...and am having one of those times now...for the moment..
The badness is sure to return..am just ignoring it for now..so that my mind can vent...
