i am having a supremely hard time lately. i can't get into details right now because i know people who might visit the site (people i know IRL etc).

basically i am carrying around a lot of sadness, regret, anger, and so on from different events over the last few months. in many ways, my life is good and i am thankful for those happy things. in other ways, it's really very hard. a coworker told me that if she had to deal with even one single thing that i've had to go through lately, she would be a crying mess - rocking in the corner or something.

but i'm not. tomorrow i'm going to get up, put on makeup, go and do a good performance at my job, and maybe even go to the pub for a pint after work. over the weekend i'm going to keep on working on my hobbies too. this is how i deal with stuff, usually, and sometimes it even works.

right now, though.... in this spot on the forum, i am falling apart. i have created just this one small compartment to break down in.

i am going to go to bed now and try to sleep so i won't be back til morning... but if anyone could spare a hug, i would really appreciate it. thank you for your kindness.

*hugs*

We love you, hyperlexian. Even though you are going through a difficult time right now, it will get better, trust me. After all, when you're at the bottom, you have nowhere to go but up.

{{{{hug}}}}

You have had several things going on lately and the important thing is that you are trying your best to get over what was going on.

Have you considered talking about how you deal with things with some sort of therapist. I have a somewhat similar way of dealing with whatever is going on at the time(trying to avoid thinking about anything that may be going on at the time) but somehow it works most of the times so I cant complain.

I think its great that you´ve finally decided to stop pretending that everything is ok here. honestly you´ve mentioned that you should do something like this a few times and I kept wondering why you were postponing it.

For the record I was just considering sending you a pm regarding how well you seem to be doing with one of your issues.

((((((((hug)))))))))

I hope you are feeling a bit better. You seem like an incredibly strong person, and sometimes it is necessary to partially fall apart for a night in order to get up in the morning. I dont know if that makes any sense.

It sounds like you have figured out some things that you can do which will help, or at least keep busy. Sometimes it is a matter of just putting one foot in front of the other. I hope you have a good sleep....

Very sorry to hear that hyperlexian. I'm also going through a rough bit right now and things keep piling up while I try to juggle all of them knowing very well that if I drop one everything will come crashing down and I really can't afford going apart right now (as if we ever do...).

While it's good you're trying to keep things under control and function the best you can, it's even better you acknowledge the problem and its source. There's no magic solution I'm afraid and it's worse when others depend on you in what way or another. Give yourself time to "breathe" once in a while - can you do something you take comfort in, something just for yourself to balance things a little and give you a bit of going power?

And sure you can have all the hugs you need, I wish I could do more than that.

Just go with it, You have to keep 'bleeding' off those negative emotions as they come up

I know you are going through an awful lot of testing transitions right now. I just sent you something that might seem a bit inappropriate in light of this thread, but I think it's true: you are a very emotionally resilient person, anyone else wouldn't be capable of carrying on in any shape or form.

You're an amazing person Hyperlexian, very loved and respected. I hope things will get better for you soon and you'll come out of this stronger, wiser and hopefully happier. The one thing that kinda helps me get through tough times is the knowing that everything ends and nothing can be constant which can only mean that bad things end too and they are replaced by something better.

Meanwhile ***huuuuuuuuuuugs*** and you can have as many of them as you want or need.
