Dealing With the Loss of a Loved One Thread

I figured I should create this thread as an outreach to those who have lost someone they were close to (recently or not). If there is anyone out there on WP who still has difficulty coming to terms with a loss (or simply wants to share such a thing with someone else to help that person) this thread is up and running (although you can still make seperate posts of your own on a different one, no need to feel constrained or restricted to just one thread).

While none of mine are recent (and all that I can remember are pets), I figured I'd share a few:

Margalo - Canary, passed from pneumonia in her sleep.

Blackie & Goldie - Goldfish, cause unknown, although Blackie is believed to have caught himself in something in the tank.

Shima - Mouse, old age.

Abby - Puppy, died from suspected Canine Parvovirus at only a few months old. She was found as a stray.

I miss them all. RIP.

EDIT: You can post about broken friendships or other losses as well.

Yeah, not in the sense of death, but a loss none the less.

6-7~ years ago I stopped my best(only) friend from killing herself. She didn't like it. We fought a lot and the fights destroyed me. We parted shortly after I told her to get out of my life, since I couldn't handle it any more. Took me 5~ years before I managed to move on and stop being emotionally and mentally stuck. (yes not so long ago). I know I will never forget her. I'm not even angry at her. I sort of miss her ;/

My Grandpa died in the Summer of 2009.

My Auntie Jo/Aunt Joanne died in the Spring of 2008

My Uncle Leslie died in the Spring of 2002

My Grandpa on my mum's side died in the Winter of 2002

My Grandma Larson died in the Winter of 1996.

My Grandma Suzie died in the Winter of 1994.

My Uncle Lee died in the Spring of 1991.

My Great Grandma died in the Spring of 1981.

My Great Grandpa died in 1977.

My first dog, Taffy died in the Early Fall of 1995

Screech, my sister's budgie died the same time.

Gordie died in the Winter of 2000.

Pete Quaife of The Kinks died on June 23rd, 2010.

George Harrison died in the Winter of 2002.

John Lennon died on December 10th, 1980.
