When I used to debate right-wing politics, all the leftwingers turned against me. I was hated, and no single rightist came to my help.

A few years later I turned left in politics, and when I debated left wing politics, all the rightwingers turned against me. I was (and still is) hated among the rightwingers. And no single leftwinger has come to my help.

History repeats itself it says. And so does it with my history. Ever since my early childhood, I have been ignored by arrogant, ignorant bastards. My parents were and are no better.

I hate the world. I want to destroy it. I love bin Laden!

DAMN THIS f*****g WORLD!

Perhaps it is because politics is a good deal more complicated than right v left?

Are you only debating politics because you want acceptance?

I know that it seems like the world makes no sense, but you should be proud of yourself because you have AS, and you are one of the few blessed people on earth who actually truly makes sense! because of your AS and being ingored by others, you have managed to see the world for what it really is, and yes it may seem like its a dark place sometimes, but being able to see the world for what it is means you get to appreciate life for what it truly is. If no one else likes you, then tell them"fine, i dont need you to be happy, i have my logic, my sense, and i have a whole future ahead of me filled with dreams, so you can all F%$% off!" I know it may seem lonely when you have AS, but remember your not alone. It can be so hard on you when you go throughout your life not being accepted by others and feeling unloved, but i want you to know that there are others who walk your path, welcome to the Aspergers world my friend, and dont give up on the world yet, please, just keep on talking to your fellow aspies on here, they will help you see things that NTs could never show you about the world. As for now what you need to do at this moment is take some time to relax, and do something you have always enjoyed since you were little, go back to the most beautiful moments of your life and keep them with you, so that you will know you can make many more memories in this world.

Debating politics is about conflict at the end of the day.

So, by debating divisions, people WON'T accept you because political discourse isn't meant for that.

You are too controversial. Try being supportive of others' opinions and see how that works for you.

To have friends, first be friendly.

That's exactly the point of my confusion. It seems the OP is using political debate to gain acceptance from the rallying of those who agree with him. When they fail to rally behind him, he feels betrayed and empty. He's not satisfied with simply debating his point because he stands steadfast to his convictions. I just don't see how this is the appropriate environment to seek acceptance from peers. If politics is a special interest, it would be beneficial for him to engage in activism with local organizations. That will create the acceptance and rallying he seems to be seeking from his current activity.

you're changing your views too readily, and you're doing it just so people won't abandon you. Also, if you get to extreme, it turns people off.

One thing I learned a long time ago was not to discuss religion or politics. It usually gets someone upset.
