I kind of thought that I would have more by now like good friends who want hang out with me or even a girlfriend, and that kind of depression me, does anyone else feel that way and can anyone give some tips that could help my depression

well, the only thing that comes to mind is endulging in a hobby; if you happen to have a semi-social one, it can help you solve both problems.
in my case; i am an avid musician, and playing music makes me forget whatever is on my mind.
since i also play in an orchestra; i managed to get a few good friends trough that, some even ASD themselves, and i'm able to socialize as little or as much as i want during breaks and practice times without anyone giving a weird eye.

Keep trying (call people, even those you haven't seen in a long time). Share more about yourself to others. Engage in a hobby. Start your own group of something you enjoy (music, comedy, astronomy, whatever you like).

Additionally and importantly, do community service. Choose something you like such as the environment, animals, or education and spend four hours a week helping with an established organization. This can benefit your mood, energy, socializing, and also looks good on a resume.

Indulging in beauty or anything that can ease your mind is worthy. To take your mind off of dark matters. The dark matters that twist and turn your muscles into rotting pain. Do not worry about so much. Create a hobby. Dream. Think. Desire. Learn.
