What I'm about to say here is a continuation of what was mentionned on this post. However, judging by the forum descriptions, it bears more relevance to this forum than to the member discussion bit, so it's coming here. If moderators feel like merging both - by all means, do so if you want.

It has been a month since I have gone to see my family. I'm there as we speak, writing this post on one of my few trusty possessions (laptops are awesome). In a way, that is the only good thing that happened recently: patching stuff up with my mother. As for the rest... I generally don't have a clue what to do anymore, who to see, who to keep in touch with, even who to know. Like a ghost, all I seem to do is try to fix stuff that can't be fixed most of the time, or drive around Oxfordshire because it clears my mind to ride a bike.
I was in Bristol until last week, and needless to say, no-one even bothered to try to contact me or get in touch or whatever. I get the impression that I don't exist - I could very well kill myself on the road tomorrow and, besides my immediate family, no-one would even notice, let alone give a damn. Can't blame them, either, considering that I'm not exactly a useful person to know (except if you have some sort of computer problem). I have caused very little harm to others and very few memorable things came out of my existence for most people.

My main problem is that I've always lived to do something against, not for. To give an example, when my parents divorced, I started getting bullied at school. I basically worked at school to beat all the bullies in terms of marks - and basically ignored everything but that. The same at university - I was working to outsmart the people who hurt me. Now that they're all gone, and that I'm gone, I feel totally empty, pointless, and more importantly completely drained. And, in all honesty, I don't know what to do.

There's no AS group around here - in fact, I'm pretty sure all people who are slightly different around here are meant to crawl in a corner and die. The looks that I used to get from people when they learnt that I wasn't english, didn't go to a public school and didn't spend my evenings drinking, for example... but hey, I guess that's just the conceited youth mentality around Oxford, and chances are it still is like that.

What can I do?
