I just now broke my brand new digital camera that I got for my birthday (three days ago) due to my explosive temper. My dad bought it for me, and it doesn't take a psychic to know that he's going to be pissed, just like he was when I broke other expensive objects out of anger.

I haven't told him yet, and I don't know when I will. I really f*****g hate myself sometimes.

I think he will understand better thank you think he will-I have done the same thing-we didn't ask to be the way we are and how we react to things-we just are and these things happen.

I have bad anger problems too. I have no glass or crockery in my unit due to when I have a meltdown I have plastic cups, crockery and forks and knives. I get aggressive and violent too, if I dont understand the situation or if I get suddenly woken up without knowing whats going on I have a meltdown and if I get roped into my friends fights and dramas and they involve me in it I get aggressive and violent start crying and screaming at them it takes three of my friends and one of my friends Mum to hold me down and settle me down. I dont like loud noises especially fire alarms, smoke alarms, car alarms, car horns, loud parties with high treble music my neighbour upstairs had a party and I had a meltdown and I went upstairs and nearly kick their door down I put a hole in their door. I only buy cheap mp3 players and I have my xbox 360 kinect, ps2, two TVs, set top box, sound system and computer up high and far away from me if I have a meltdown.

Yeah, I get stressed and do silly things. Last week I threw my laptop on the floor. Luckily it was actually worth more as spare parts.
I don't think this is purely an aspie thing though. Your just really stressed with life. I usually go for a drive when I feel like exploding. I find a nice deserted field and go sit in it.

I've never broken anything expensive in anger, but I've lost/dropped many expensive things due to dyspraxia. My dad would scream at me to think about what I'm doing in future (he has a bad temper himself).

He eventually realised that I can't help being so clumsy. Your dad will eventually find out and once he gets over his initial reaction, he should be fine.

Hugs if you want them?

As BillyIdolFan said, you are not alone. I have lost my temper more times than I care to admit. Many of the things I broke (hurled against a wall or stamped on), were things I could not really afford to replace. I would/still do suffer weeks or months of regret. I get frustrated really easily. If a GoogIe page is slow to load, the air turns blue. If my PC dawdles, I shout at it, I also came close to hurling a laptop out of a window when I managed to contract the CoolWeb virus and didn't know how to get rid of it.

Good luck with your dad.

I broke a finger during a meltdown when I was in my 20s (slammed it on an alarm clock) and when I was 11, put my fist through a glass shower door and had a piece of glass lodged in my wrist for 4 years afterwards. I had to take it out myself when I was 15 because my parents were so pissed at me for taking out the door that they wouldn't even believe I had glass in my wrist! I have mellowed some now that I'm in my 40s but I still have to really try to avoid meltdowns if I can.

You're not alone!
