I will be 22 in september the 22nd and honestly i still have the mentality of a child.

and too be honest part of me does not want too grow up and i enjoy having a childish mind. i throw childish tantrums when i don't get my own way.

it is rather disturbing that i don't want too mature and grow up. as an adult there a lot expectations and its like iam expected too take everything on the chin and laugh things off..........

really what does it mean too be an adult and why i do still behave like a toddler at age 22? I am finding it the transition from a kid too an adult very challenging.

do you agree that people abuse the word 'grow up'?

If your an adult its like if you do the slightest thing wrong people wave the word 'grow up' around a lot. it pisses me off

When people say "grow up" if comes off sounding like "be serious" and "stop having fun."

If you're not doing any harm by having fun why not have fun. That is all there is in life, otherwise it's just a long pointless slog!

Oh and yes I found the transition very challenging. Until recently I looked at pictures of myself as a kid and thought "yes, that's me. Might as well be me today." Now I can't fathom that that was me. It's transitions like this that are the hardest. One moment you're on one side of the fence and the next you're on the other, but you don't remember climbing over. It's bewildering. I don't think I ever truly process transitions. Which gives life in general a strong magical tinge.

I know how you feel. I'm seventeen and I still sleep with my stuffed animals and baby blankies. I don't drive yet, and I (am supposed to) go to bet at eight-thirty.

You HAVE to go to bed at 8:30? Why not stay up later?
