My daughter (who is a member on here, but does not post very often (NaturalFireWave)) asked where she could post on this site for some support. I had mentioned elsewhere that she had been harassed (for weeks) and punched by someone in her band last weekend. We have filed a report and have pressed charges and have been in the process of seeking a restraining order, but she is still frightened.
She knows it is not logical. She knows he does not know where she lives, and as long as the school will not guarantee her safety, I will not send her there (she is keeping up with her work per her IEP). She is going through the victim stages. She says she wants to talk to someone (she is in counseling, but the feelings come out of the blue, and she wants to be able to just talk at times). Is this a good place for her to talk when she needs to? She is shy to talk, and often times finds it hard to vocalize (even expressing in writing/typing), so I am not sure how often she will respond. She does read though, and if she is having problems reading because of the stress (which had been a lot lately), I will read them to her. Sometimes she does have problems explaining things. She did want me to say that.
Just so you know, she knows I am writing this and what I am saying, I have her permission to say what I have said.
