for a sense of perspective, consider this: being a "lost undergrad" beats the hell outta being seen as a failed undergrad and lost unemployable [but genteel] bum.

being that you are on the way to becoming a college graduate, your chances of future happiness are greater than mine. the local unemployment rate of college grads is 4% compared to the 9.3% general rate, which means a college drop out like me has about as much chance in today's job market, as a snowball in perdition.

hmmm... I'm sure something can be figured out with that. 4% of what graduates? Could be a large amount of a certain degree and location. and 9% for what jobs? These people could of got a degree in something that can be filled for awhile or is useless. So Idk maybe that will help. side not I am unemployed right now so I don't really have much room to speak here but just to help a little. I've always been told healthcare is the way to go. x-ray tech or a nurse of some sort. Depending on your gen. eds you can usually hop into a degree without needing to take your gen. eds over again depending on the time it has been.

thank you but i am closer to the end than to the beginning. in a few years i hope to collect my pension from civil service. i am too addled to be much good in school. it's a wonder i made it through several decades of gov't work.
and i believe the fact dispensers were talking about a 4% unemployment rate among all college grads of recent vintage. the 9.3% general unemployment rate is an average, there are some fields with less and some with much much more. anybody remember "middle management"? how quaint.
