Red meet (beef) in itself is very inflammatory. Plus all the antibiotics, hormones, arsenic etc. big agro companies feed to the cattle doesn't help.
I too feel worse after eating it too much.
Stick to white meet (the health food store kind that's antibiotic/hormone free) and wild caught fish.
Wild caught fish is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids that have anti-inflammatory effect.
Also some fish are high in B vitamins which are essential for proper functioning of nervous system.
Avoid farm-raised fish (high PCB/pesticide contamination, high instance of sea lice contamination, excessive Omega-6 fat content (which is a nutrient that body needs but in moderation; when there's too much of it, it's inflammatory), reduced Omega-3 content, reduced overall nutritional value).
Also don't eat too often wild caught fish that's high in mercury (like tuna for example).
Eat vegetables, fruits, whole grains -- those a the pinnacle of wellbeing. Besides vitamins and minerals, certain veggies and fruits posses cancer-fighting, metabolism boosting, immune system enhancing, desease-suppressing, probiotic compounds.
Also certain spices have beneficial properties. For example saffron inhibits certain types of cancer, so does curcumin (they use it alone or in the curry spice mix), cinnamon promotes feeling of satiety, garlic is a powerful antioxidant...
