I agree with a lot of what you said. Before yesterday the last time I was on WP was months ago. I left because I felt even after posting very well (I thought) thought out posts about some of the more difficult issues around bullying and such (though they basically amounted to "stop feeling sorry for yourselves and grow a pair") and some fighting with a mod over such, I left. But I feel WP does have important things to offer people, and with any community of this size drama and arguments abound, as well as repeat topics. This is not WP specific, look at the teenhut forums (I was on there years ago, forum like WP but for NT's 14-20). Same drama and nonsense (and one to many masturbation threads).

If you read some of my posts you will see I am not typical of most on WP. I has AS, and many of the issues associated with it but I am in college, work a job, have a GF, have friends... I think what most people with AS lack is the type of support I have been so lucky to have, so I post on WP in the hopes to show others that it is possible to be happy, have AS, and stay who you are.

Over my web career so to speak, I have been attacked, bullied, ostracized, criticized, banned (from my own forum no less...), etc. Don't let it get to you. Trolls will troll, haters gonna hate, but if you shift through the proverbial garbage you find a few gems that do make a real difference (please note this is not about WP specifically, I have been on over a dozen forums holding 500+ post counts).

If you don't stay on WP, I hope you find what you are looking for.

I can see how "the blind leading the blind" doesn't make much sense. That is what happens on most forums because very few of the highly successful, happy, well adjusted people feel the need to seek out a forum. The negativity can be overwhelming at times, especially when it seems as though the ones being negative shoot down every idea given and that they want to remain negative. I know that isn't the case, though, as I have been in that situation where the negative takes over and I legitimately can't see how it will ever end. It can still be overwhelming to see others in that situation, though.
I hope you can find the support you need, whether on here or somewhere else. I'm always up for a chat and am usually pretty positive if you ever want to send me a pm.
Also, I got your song reference. It's one of my favorite songs and I was listening to it when I read your post, lol, what are the chances?
