What am I supposed to do when I make a mistake driving?
Some guy that lives down the street suddenly just appeared out of nowhere while I was backing out of the driveway and then he just beeped the horn for like 15 seconds straight even once I had stopped moving. I wasn't even moving that fast while backing out, I was being extra careful cuz it still makes me nervous to do it, he must've been going fast as hell or something.
And then I moved back up into the driveway and let him pass and then he looked at me like what the hell and then he paused in front of my house and I just started yelling at his car "What the f**k are you looking at you stupid b***h, get the f**k out of here" and he eventually started moving.
As you can see I get reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally worked up and angry when I make a mistake while driving, and people seem to act like they'd caught in me in the act of taking a s**t in their cereal whenever I do it. I end up traumatized about what I was doing whenever I do it for a little while after it happens and I really don't know what to do, it ruins my whole day and I feel overloaded for a while after. I smoked a cigarette this time and that helped a lot but I don't want that to become my only way to relieve stress when this crap happens and it doesn't quite make me feel all the way better either
I'm also a little bit afraid that this really hot older girl down the street that was on the phone thought I was talking to her as she was in the same line of sight as his car too but she didn't say anything back to me or say anything to me when I drove by to go smoke a cigarette after.
I get really worked up when I'm driving though and on top of that, one of my worst hatreds is when people exaggeratedly treat me like I'm an idiot. This here a**hole has managed to make the first part worse and trip the wire on the 2nd. Yeah, I know what I did was wrong, but him sitting on his horn for that long while I'm no longer moving and then stopping his car in front of my house like he wants to fight about it is is just unnacceptable
So after the guy gets out of his car, do this, that's obviously what you're supposed to do.
Really, you just have to move on and not let it affect you much. The guy probably was not paying attention, too, or going like 55 in a 35 like people tend to do where I live, so he probably got his day ruined by you doing it. Or he was sipping coffee while on his iPad while talking on the phone. Car accidents like that involve 2 people, after all.
One thing car drivers aren't taught that motorcycle riders are, is car drivers are not taught "everything is your fault." When you're on a bike, everything that happens is your fault, that's the outlook you must take. Someone switches lanes almost into you? Your fault for not anticipating it or going forward more. I mean, obviously different people are more at fault than others, but yeah, do you see my point? So there's error on his end for not seeing a car with reverse lights on in the driveway, and not taking either the appropriate evasive or braking actions to not be affected by it as much. But yeah, because car drivers aren't taught that way, people tend to big be jerks.
And then I moved back up into the driveway and let him pass and then he looked at me like what the hell and then he paused in front of my house and I just started yelling at his car "What the f**k are you looking at you stupid b***h, get the f**k out of here" and he eventually started moving.
As you can see I get reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally worked up and angry when I make a mistake while driving, and people seem to act like they'd caught in me in the act of taking a sh** in their cereal whenever I do it.
If you can't keep your cool while driving, you should not be driving. You should have just waited for the person to pass and proceed about your business.
Who knows, but I doubt you made a good impression on her either way.
Then there should be nobody driving in New York lol... Getting cursed out is part of my daily commute. Sitting there for 15 seconds? Now that's weird. I'm guessing it wasn't really directed at you, or the whole driveway incident. This guy was probably just waiting to go off on the next person who so much as looked at him funny.
Couldn't of said it better myself.
The best way is to just avoid them.. keep looking in all directions, even if you think no one's coming, look more than once. Uncontrolled intersections are the worst.
If you get worked up just remember as long as your doors are locked, they won't do anything to you.. they flip you the bird, flip it back.
