He called my BIL because he called my MIL's house. My MIL ordered it as a Christmas gift and is paying for it, so that's the contact number they had. My BIL answered. My MIL can't hear to talk on the phone anymore, and she's also pretty senile. My BIL lives with her and takes care of her.
Yeah, why didn't he just call the cops yesterday if he thought he saw that?
My BIL isn't the type at all to stir up anything. He hates drama and has been known to completely ignore huge family drama and remain neutral in everything. My BIL always says about anything like that "I'm not in this, I'm Switzerland, I'm neutral, I don't have a dog in this fight, I'm going fishing!" He's never even been mad that I've seen. Everything rolls off him like water off a ducks back and he likes things nice and peaceful.
He told my husband because that's the kind of thing you have to pass on. The guy said he was calling the cops, and people want to know if the cops have been called on them. If he had just told my BIL that, he would have completely disregarded everything, because he doesn't care what people say about him or anyone else, and doesn't think anyone should care what anyone says about them either. He also probably thought it was hilarious because if you knew me, the idea of me smoking meth in the bathroom at all, let alone while a service person was there, would be absolutely ridiculous.
There is no need to talk to a lawyer about it unless the cops come. If they don't, then it's simply a case of a very bad experience with a service tech and needs to be handled that way. Unless I have a serious problem come out of this, like cops coming to search my home, there is no need for a frivilous lawsuit. If the cops came to search, theres nothing to find, but it would make me so mad, and disrupt things so much, and be so inconvenient, that I would sue over that, if they didn't fire the employee.
I'm also not mentioning lawyers to the people at Direct TV because they would know that's a bluff. No reason for it in something like that, and that would be blowing it out of proportion unless the cops actually came. Then again, the cops would probably think the idea of me smoking meth in the bathroom is ridiculous too and blow it off if he did call them. If thats the case, I'm sure one of them will tell me about it when I run into one.
