The only thing I can look forward to is months away. D:

I'll be honest, I've been depressed for at least a week. Granted, it's been on and off, but I'm not sure. I'm young, but I can only look forward to leaving high school and going away to college. There is absolutely NOTHING that lies in between for me. I'm stuck in an opportunistic wasteland. I want to remember myself being happy with my friends, not sitting around sulking in a lonely fashion or locking myself in my bedroom.

I just wish that these last few months of high school could be fun and full of positive memories, not negative ones. If college is so awesome, then why must high school drag me down even when I'm close to graduating?

Actually, you will soon realize the FUN starts in college. The last few weeks of high school are more like a closing ceremony to a stage in your life.

Perhaps instead of expecting things to be like they are shown in tv sitcoms you should look towards what will be coming your way. :) Being away in college means its you... on your own..your rules, your life, your way. Just keep those grades up 8)

I know that, and I'm pretty sure that I implied that. But now it's just a matter of what to do until then. My friends either like being around me but never are due to scheduling conflicts, or are largely indifferent to me but I always see them anyway. There are some social things between then and now, but since most them are senior things, and the other seniors at my school are the students that like me the least, I'm not holding my breath. :(

I went through the same thing. It wasn't until a month after graduation that it sank in that I would hardly ever see or speak to any of them again. And I haven't since.

You have no idea what a glorious thing that is :)
