Welcome Aboard!

I can't disagree that yes, for many of us, THIS world's a bummer, but it won't ALWAYS be that way.

The world isn't going to just 'evolve' out of all its problems. This is reality, not Star Trek. Until the root cause of why this world is this way is overcome, we CAN'T move on beyond it.

It may be human nature to be self-centered, but you just might find that a lot of Aspies are giving and selfless to a fault.

Have A Great Day!

Rob

I hate the world too. But i'm trying to make me feel good so i'm trying to stop hate. Hate is distructive.

i used to hate the world but now i don't. i spent a lot of years finding the negatives so that was all i saw. now i look for the positives so that is what is more visible to me.

when i think about, in recent times i remember a family member that drove me to a party in heavy traffic, a bus driver yesterday who saw me running and waited, a coworker who lent me a dollar for the pop machine, someone who wished me happy new year on facebook, a bank manager who broke policy to make it easier to close my deceased mother's account, a sister who prepared my favourite dish for a party, etc.

sometimes people suck, and sometimes they rock. but you have to be willing to open your mind and heart to see all the good out there.

I feel the same way many days.
It's a good thing I do not have GOD-like super powers, because it would turn out to be a very bad day for planet earth.

I can't give any advice on being more positive, not that you'd want to hear it, I know when I'm feeling negative, the last thing I want to hear is people talking about positive crap.

So, I suggest listening to some dark music of your choice and sit back and imagine asteroids hitting the earth, or maybe look up some hydrogen bomb test footage on youtube

Another fun thing for a dark mood is a good game of Postal 2, try the cat silencer for the automatic weapons, or just go on a rampage with the shovel.

If you are feeling really twisted, manhunt takes the cake for sick games.

It's true, there are a lot of bad things as well as bad people, but I feel that there may be just as much good.. It all comes down to perspective, and in some part the ways society has come to raise children with specific morals and values. There seem to be a ton of lesser known cultures that have had vastly different and varied rules and expectations, yet all have been just as valid as any other. It's all relative.

Of course, that doesn't make your own personal opinion any less. You have a right to be strong in your beliefs. However, just know that it doesn't have to always be that way. I used to feel so detached from the world that I wished I would cease to exist, that I could just fall asleep in an endless bliss. One day I came to realize that the world was not perfect, that there was no sense in trying to apply logic or outright "good" or "bad" labels on anything, but only those that I did and did not personally like. Most of all I had to accept that no matter what I did, everyone is different and nobody has the right to purge another regardless.

I go through times like that too. Just got over one actually. I noticed that if I dwell on my anger and hatred and need for revenge, it stays and the depression gets worse.

For the past few weeks I've actually fallen asleep at night thinking fondly of scenarios where all those a**holes who p*ssed me off "get theirs". For the past two nights I've made myself think of other things, I know this sounds silly, but unrelated happy things, even if they aren't real. It's helped some. I try and push the anger out right now when I feel it. The general anger that is, anger over a specific thing is good because it's a sign that something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I'll either fix it, try to fix it, or just dwell on it a few minutes then force myself to think of something else. It's hard, but it's working for me.

Hope it works for you and you feel better soon.

I agree with this statement, sometimes if you fixate on the negatives too much, you don't realize the positives or you forget they exist and start to fall into a constant mindset of negativity. It's definitely difficult to break out of that negative train of thought, I think it is a case of having a different outlook and perspective.

I think the buzzword these days is "mindful". Being purposely mindful has helped me a ton.

Depressive black metal is a great genre if one is feeling depressed, at least in my opinion...and yeah hearing people talk about a bunch of positive crap is not something I enjoy when i feel like that.
