I’ve been getting strange itches quite a bit. It started a long time before I got rid of the last bed I had. Yes, long before that and the fleas we had one time. After the fleas, I ignored it, but it just keep making me scratch and brush myself! I could see the fleas, but I couldn’t see what was going on with them not around. I have literally looked into my eyes with a mirror, and even at my arms with my bare eyes only to see nothing crawling there. I’ve had the exterminator come in repeatedly to spray for fleas, but we only stopped seeing them the first time. After the fleas supposedly died off, I kept feeling itchy, crawly and scratchy everywhere!
It’s indeed much worse when I lay down for sleep. It feels more firm then. I have taken naps during day or night, and it seems to get me at night more. It takes hours for me to get to sleep, because I’ll brush the tiny suspects off, shakes me sheets over and over. Then I lay back down, and it starts all over again. Rrrgg! Crawl, PINCH, leap! Crawl and pinch! Crawl and pinch! Crawl and PINCH!
Honestly, standing outside and attracting a swarm of mosquitoes wouldn’t feel a whole lot worse, only then I’d actually have bites, rashes or other actual marks on my skin! My mother doesn’t scratch all the time. My sister visited recently from across two states, and she didn’t feel itch infestations all over! I hope someone knows what this problem is. My skin has been getting red and sensitive because of all this scratching. Insanity!
Look, I’ve had to pull tiny, stubborn thorns out of the pink flesh in my right eyeball. That was maddening enough. This is worse in my experience, because it never quits! Always scratching and brushing just so I can try to focus on a simple task, and on something that might not be there in the first place! AAAAAAAAAAA! *snap* For now, I’ll call them “invisible torturers”. Kind of fits. I can't remember when this started, it's been going on for quite a while now.
