Hi,
I have a depressed dad, too. It is hard to see someone you love hurting in the world also. Depression stinks, and it feels awful and like it won't end. But it can get better. Six months ago I wouldn't have known how it possibly COULD get better, but somehow it has. It has taken serious work, I have seen a therapist almost every week, and several doctors and tried several medications, some of which didn't work at all.
I would encourage you to ask for help and keep trying, even if it seems like you have no energy to try. I was seriously depressed for quite a long time, and thought it could just better, but that only happened after I got help.
I hope you have a friend you can talk to or text about how you feel, or you can make a friend here to talk to. Sometimes just saying stuff gets it out a little bit.
