I was having such a good day, but after all the news, internet fighting, articles attacking others, videos and causes and backlashes, teachers who cannot teach, a bunch of stuff I can't put in words, now I just want to watch humanity burn, there I said it.

The world's not as nice of a place as it used to be. Even over the past 20 years, it's changed for the worse.

The planet is in chaos, and yeah, there are some depressing stuff on the news and internet.

I try to avoid being bothered by it, because it really isn't my problem, and putting energy on something that I'm not hurt by does more harm than good. Not trying to sound arrogant, but there really is a lot of creepy stuff on the internet that is just waiting to grab your attention and bother you, when it shouldn't really.

"Some men just want to watch the world burn." - misquoted, but suitable.

I avoid the news that isn't electronics related. The world makes me retreat to my own.

Not only do I not watch the news, I don't watch TV. It is depressing.

EDIT: You do not have to feel guilty when you say you want to watch the world burn, it's not you that set it on fire.

Oh *pppppft*

Happiness and sorrow is in your head. Doesn't mean it doesn't matter, but it's pointless making conjecture about the state of the world. We all feel like this sometimes, but you've got to roll with the punches, whatever is happening in the world.

the world has been awry for a long time. it's the system we live under. but that doesn't mean that only bad stuff makes the news. people are capable of doing awesome things and that gets in there sometimes too. like the occupy movement which showed that people can cooperate together and hope and act on making a better world, or the austerity measures in greece(those are bad) but the reactions to them by people have been awesome- teachers opening up free school to teach poor kids & journalists firing their boss and running the paper themselves, or the arab spring, especially the egyptian revolution, where christian and muslim tensions, sexism and football rivalry were pushed to the side as people defended each other from attack while they protested and prayed and set up medical care and food and patrols to keep each other alive and in the meantime toppled a dictator. on a smaller scale there are kids who are the future and they are still unformed, full of hope and this thirst for knowledge and innocence. and the small things people do for you like ask you how you are feeling as oposed to how you are or making eye contact with you to remind you that you still exist or helping you pick up stuff you have dropped or defying your expectations of them and being nice people. the world can be horrible sometimes but there is hope that things will change and good stuff does happen everyday, you just have to keep an eye out for it and not let the bad stuff make you feel so hopeless. my god that sounded sappy and optimistic and long winded.
