I'm f*****g screwed up. I was f*****g screaming obscenities while biking through a residential area on the way back from doing laundry at my parents'.

I absolutely hate biking in the strong outdoor winds. Winds really cause sensory overload, it seems.

it's regretful that the winds bother you. i am only bothered if they are accompanied by heavy precipitation or are freezing cold. otherwise, i find they help to keep me from overheating when i am laboring outside. a good breeze helps me to ride my bike farther and harder, otherwise my core body temperature would rise and i'd get sick.

I think I have a wind phobia or something like that. Hmmm.... is there such a word for fear of winds? I just Googled it and found nothing on the first page.

Plus, I think I get a bit of a mental reaction to deodorant in the morning after I put it on. I don't know why. I don't think that's very sensory but I don't know....

Ancraophobia is the fear of wind.

You're making a big deal out of nothing. Slowly condition yourself to not let it bug you or to make it less annoying, desensitization is sadly something needed sometimes.

Well there are worse things than yelling obscenities....may I ask why you are so bothered by this? I mean the whole fearing the wind thing would probably be pretty annoying to deal with so I understand the frustration with that....but when I saw the title I was kind of expecting something a little more severe.

but either way I hope posting about it made you feel somewhat better, sometimes venting helps.

Did you get in trouble for the yelling? If not, just let it go. I don't like strong wind either, especially if it's cold. If the sun is shining and it's warm but still windy, I have to wear a light jacket if I go outside. Most everybody else (meaning NTs) may be in short sleeves, but I have to wear a jacket because I can't stand wind against my skin. I think it's a sensory thing. It sounds like you had a mini-meltdown due to the wind. Just go home ASAP and rest.

I hate wind when it's cold. It drives me crazy. I feel you about that. I would be careful about screaming obscenities though, that could attract the wrong kind of attention or even get you a ticket for disturbing the peace, etc.
