Ok, so I know my problems pale in comparison to some of the more serious problems that others have posted here, and that my bitching about it is going to seem very immature, but I am frustrated and if I don't vent here I'm going to vent somewhere to someone that will be very inconvenient for me now and very problematic for me in the future.

Well... my girlfriend just got back into town from her Easter holiday. We've got a (very small) anime/sci-fi convention being hosted a the university this weekend, and we were making plans to go. She even said she had a cosplay outfit picked out but wouldn't tell me what it was. Surprise apparently.

Well, that was last Monday. On Tuesday, my dad started bitching at me to pick up my room, pulling the same s**t he usually does and threatening to kick me out if it isn't done in an arbitrary period of time, which f*****g pisses me off because he and I both know that kicking me out at this stage in my life, though legally acceptable, is condemning me to freeze to death in this godforsaken excuse for a snowed-in college town.

So I put any plans I had with her on hold for yesterday and today, and asked her to try and keep Saturday afternoon open so that we could spend time together then. I asked her to do as much as possible this week as far as homework and work shifts go so that we could have all of Saturday together. I was looking forward to it, and that was the only reason why I was able to stay focused on getting my room re-organized, which took me all of yesterday and half of today.

I'm almost finished so I take a break. About a few minutes after she calls me (returning a text from earlier), and tells me that she asked for both the lunch and dinner shift at her work for Friday. She's normally not scheduled for Fridays but she's been taking extra shifts to catch up on her work hours quota, which she needs to reach by the end of the semester or she'll lose her work-study scholarship.

She tells me that she got the dinner shift but not the lunch shift on Friday. I tell her, "ok, we can do lunch on Friday afternoon then," but she tells me she has a study group for her Japanese class and can't make it. THEN she tells me that she has to work the 1030 - 1430 shift on Saturday.

It'd be one thing if she could just change clothes after getting off of work and coming to the convention, but she works as a dishwasher at the residence hall cafeteria, and she's usually tired and dirty after getting off of work, and she insisted on me giving her until at least 1600 to shower and take a nap.

... I'm really frustrated. Here I was looking forward to spending the day with her, but now our plans have gone down the f*****g toilet. I know I should be more sympathetic, because she needs to study as well as get the work hours she needs to finish off the semester, but it seems like every time I have a chance to do something with her she ends up having to do SOMETHING either work, class, homework, or cleaning her dorm room that completely screws over our plans for the day.

What's even more frustrating is the fact that I feel like s**t for being so frustrated with her about this, because I know she's not doing it on purpose. I'm pissed off at myself now because when we were talking earlier, it was completely obvious even to me that I sounded really frustrated and angry at this, and if I noticed it she sure as hell did. She ended our call rather abruptly, claiming she had something going on that needed her attention, but I'm sure she noticed I was upset and was making it up to get me off the phone.

So now on top of everything else I'm certain I've pissed her off at me. I feel like going out to the bars tonight and finding some drunk a**hole that I can provoke into a fight, just because beating the living s**t out of someone feels like a really good stress reliever right now. The problem is I know it will get me into a shedload of trouble, so I can't do it, which pisses me off even more.

I love this girl, I care about her, but sometimes I wonder if it's worth keeping the relationship going. I've had two relationships fail on me already because of my actions, and while I feel like this girl is the best relationship I've had thus far, I'm afraid that it's only a matter of time before things fall to pieces again, and part of me wants to go ahead and break up with her now and salvage a friendship out of the ashes, as opposed to waiting for things to completely go to s**t and for us to be mortal enemies like what happened with my LAST ex.

Have you told her that you feel replaced? Most don't seem to realise how their romantic interest feels when they do more work/spending time alone.
