My Fellow internet friends- advice please
Hey, I am not a 5 year old so I am not gona just yell or freak out, I am merely looking for help.
I've got severe personality disorder (with Cluster B Borderline and Narcisistic features) alongside with having the mild PDD NOS diagnosis. Now, I am mentioning this because this mental part that I have makes me the MOST miserable person I know. I just can't be satisfied with what I have and I always want MORE and MORE since I see myself as highly indaqute and inferior to most people (since, I am having hard time getting a job, GF, that stuff... everybody else at my age- 18 - is already driving while I am still doing driving lessons... so I have no idea if it works out for me). I am not doing either army service or voluntary service, I am EXTREMELY sensitive to critisicm and whatnot... and highly intolerant of persumptions people and angry bosses. I am afraid so much of what people will think of me that it's hard for me to go outside... even with my parents I feel "ashamed" of what people will think that I am out with my parents... and yes I do have friends I hang out with but as I said I just want to be a successful person with alot of achievements well I am not talking about million bucks or hundreds of girls I am talking about what any average guy would want and would EASILY get.
Alot of people put me down... my social worker said she saw ALOT of AS people more higher functioning than me and I simply can't accept that I am not the best, or at least at the same level of the "normal" functioning people).
I tried... I had a GF and she used me.... I've had job that lasted probably 2 weeks until I quited, cause everyone was on the hunt for me trying to insult me and make me feel bad
I just feel I need to fight too hard for what normal people can get easily and I want to kill myself because I think ITS NOT FAIR. Gosh, any advice on what I should do or any experiences of you guys/gals would make me very happy ![]()
I'm 25. Unemployed. Never been behind the wheel of a car. Even the thought of taking driving lessons makes my wallet hurt, because I suspect I'd have to do it more than once.
I make stuff. Music, web video, stuff like that. I have trouble finding an audience, but those who hear/see my stuff tend to like it.
But I'm not whining that things aren't going my way. I just keep at it, and whatever happens happens. Eventually the right person might see it, or they might not.
You're 18. That's just barely an adult. You've got plenty of time to get to where you want to be. You might feel entitled to already be there, but guess what, you're not. You're entitled to basic freedoms. The rest you'll have to struggle for. Some people don't because they're born in the right place or luck out somewhere along the way, and we could whine about that all day, but that won't actually do us any good.
Are you brilliant? Then do something brilliant. If nobody notices, do something else brilliant and keep doing brilliant stuff until somebody goes "hey, that guy's brilliant, maybe we should dump a f*****g life on him".
Are you not brilliant? Then stop expecting life to hand s**t to you or start doing what you think a brilliant person might do.
All that swearing and bad attitude is kinda... out of place don't you think? :\
I am just asking for advice how to change my negative view of the world. I am sure other here have similiar thoughts to mine or had in the past and could give me some insight. Because I don't wana live life suffering until I'm like really old. And no I am not expecting life to hand stuff to me just like that.... cause apparently I do everything by the book. It's just... I feel like I have no ways of dealing with my difficulties... I mean I know there are people who are poorer than me like guys on wheelchair or starving guys in africa or w/e. But those guys have ways to cope. I mean EG when I walked someday on the street I saw a homeless guy (he has no house no job no nothing) and he was like singing!! he was happy. I wana feel like that guy.
All that swearing = Two words? I use whatever words I feel like and mean nothing bad by it. If you choose to be offended, that's on you.
I did not write it with a bad attitude. I wrote it as encouragement. If you read it as bad attitude, that's your filter talking, not me. My point is you're young, and sometimes progress is slow. Expecting things to work out at 18 is not entirely realistic. Trying to make them work out is great, but it's not strange for it to take a few years.
He probably wasn't singing out of joy, he was probably singing in the hope that somebody would notice him and donate some spare change. That's not coping, that's a cry for help. Things did not work out for him. And if they did work out at 18, it didn't last. And now he's sad, so he puts on a brave face and sings.
Hey, maybe not! I am homeless and I sing out of joy all the time. Just because the guy is homeless doesn't mean things "did not work out for him." Some people choose it.
