I read a lot of stuff on the internet and learn something about a certain subject while people make bad comments about countries, sports, cultures, my interests and some of the bad stuff that they have done, it gets me upset and sometimes I stay up all night thinking about it. I'm glad that I am aware of it but was it really necessary to read an angry rant that someone made about whatever subject or interest? Should I focus on what's good about my interests and not worry about what someone says about it? (I like to read good and smart comments that people make on the internet by the way) Or should I just learn to not care about what negative things people say?

Well you already know about it now, so can care but its best to not let it get to you and just ignore it and stick to your own opinion about it :o

Some people post disturbingly angry comments on the Internet about something they can't stand. It's probably because they're seeking attention or trying to stand out, they may not be particularly enraged by the subject at all. My advice is to assume that they're not actually as angry as they are and just want other people to talk to them about a subject on the Internet. Hopefully thinking about this will help. :D

It's a fact of the internet that open comments threads always devolve into a cesspit of angry bile and idiocy. It says nothing about the validity of your interests, only about the sad state of humanity, and you should learn to ignore it as inevitable "background noise". I almost never click through to comments except in a few forums where ironfisted moderators keep things civil and on-topic.
