I keep being told I should file for SSD and medicaide(hope that's the right one)

I just got kicked out of school they said it wasn't my aspergers but that I was socially awkward had a lack of normal eye contact, uncontrolled rhythmic movements consistent with rocking and that my social pragmatics were not in tact. They cheated me out of 2k dollars.....told me I'd get a full refund for the semester but I've not and so I reported them to Office of Civil Rights. I also got a lawyer.

So I filed a civil rights complaint against them........and now predictably I'm terrified. I honestly think if I'm good enough to get in then I should be allowed to try to pursue my dreams....and fail if I fail or succeed if I succeed.

You got kicked out of school for being socially awkward, lacking normal eye contact, uncontrollable rhythmic movements and non-tact social pragmatics? Enlighten me. What are tact (or non-tact) social pragmatics? And yeah, if you can prove they kicked you out for the other reasons then you should have a legal & binding case regarding disability discrimination.

I have it in writing that it was the social pragmatics abnormalities as listed above.

I also have a formal autism diagnosis which they knew about before I began this program. I'm just really afraid more of the oh god what have I done......kind of thing

If you have this in writing from them, then it sounds like you have a good case for the lawyer to take to court. Sic 'em!

That's definitely discrimination and you're lucky you got that in writing. They're saying they kicked you out specifically because of an ASD symptom. It doesn't get any more cut and dry than that. Don't worry, you did the right thing and hopefully now somebody will talk some sense into them so that something like this won't happen to anybody else.
