I'm behind in almost every thing I do
My mom thinks I wont be able to graduate high school because of my learning problems. She is thinking about having me be in life classes. I just started driving. I got my learners permit last week. I cant tell how big my car is and how close I am to going off the road or how close I am to other cars. Driving stresses me out. I drove my family to dinner but I couldnt drive us back home. My mom had to do it. Im wlays behind in every thing I do. Im slow. I have decided Im slow. Im behind in almost every way an Amairican teen can be. In my school work, social life, maturity, attenion span and alot of other things. I have been like this my whole life and I see it now. Im sick of being behind. But theres nothing I can do about it. Any one else feel like this some times?
pretty much most of the time. but - and i know this may seem pompous coming from someone else all the time who doesn't (in this case) practice what he preaches; i jest - but be positive and positive things will happen.
also, ur profile-ly side-barry thing says ur 15... and ur driving? ![]()

@StevieC, that's how they do it in the states. I'd be too scared to drive knowing that 15-year-olds are driving as well.
I do too, Kaelynn. I'm pretty behind in a lot of things too. I'm 18 and I can't tie my own shoelaces, tell the time on an analogue clock, and my handwriting is... well, I think four year olds have better handwriting on average. Socially... well. I stopped being able to keep up socially at about 8. There's no shame in being slower than your peers, although I think a lot of your peers probably think that you're slow as well.
I find personally that the longer it takes me to get something, for example it took me a long time to grasp long division and the i before e except after c rule, which is not entirely accurate, the better my understanding of it when I do grasp it. I find that those who get it right away rarely stop to think about the proper mechanics of it. It's nice to think about the mechanics.
In regard to life classes, do you think you'd benefit from them?

Yeah I probably would. But it would also be nice to graduate high school. At the same time, if I never can unster stand/ remeber what it is Im supposted to do with math or histroy or what ever then it might be piontless.
