I had an aide in high school, sent by the school district to help me, for years. We got along okay, but sometime around 11th grade, she started changing and became i guess bitter, less nice, irritated and willing to gossip about other teachers, and at the same time I was going through a lot of things, such as the feeling of a dark cloud over the world, and lack of anything in the face of chemistry. We had a falling out or something, and had to work with each other for a year or two, liking each other less it seemed. But after, I've had to live for years with guilt over my fault, how I was the one who ruined everyone in high school by being angry. And I've lived especially in the shadow of alternating fear and guilt over how I'd been mean to her, and now I just want to run into her again to apologize. I don't know why, I just have to.

I wouldn't preoccupy yourself too too much but I understand where you're coming from on this. I've done this a few times before when I was younger (11-13-ish)...maybe track her down and say sorry :) that's a good idea.
