My life has been a mixed bag. A lot of it has been really rotten, but even so, there are still plenty of things for me to be thankful for. I spent most of my life living with various relatives, which was awful, as we all drove one another crazy. However, now I am fortunate enough to live alone! The trailer I am living in is old and run down, but it is a lot better than some of the places I've lived in! I am unable to work any more due to health issues, but was finally able to qualify for SSI, so I can pay the bills and put food on my table!
Things in my life go on like that--negatives, but positives, too. I eventually learned, and came to accept that life isn't perfect, but it isn't all rotten, either. And there are a lot of people worse off than I am, so I am thankful for that, too. I just wish other people weren't bad off.
