Do any males with ASDs/PDDs have issues with their dads?

I do. I constantly struggle with how to see him. I made a lot of progress. I think most so-called "NT" males do not struggle with either seeing their fathers as perfect or seeing them as not perfect. Plus, my dad IS NOT perfect, but rarely admits it in ways that I would like him to (or even in the ways other, non-ASD/PDD people in my family do).

I could probably go on an on, but I'll leave it at that.

Is it possible that he is on the spectrum as well? If so, it could make him very rigid and difficult to deal with, moreso than if the was an NT.

After my parents split up in my mid teens I sort of drifted away from my dad, not that I can recall doing very many father/son activities with him - as far as I can tell we share a sexual addiction, his is clothed in a more socially acceptable guise whereas mine is more turned inward. That's probably due to me being resentful toward him for not staying faithful to my mom and the way he rode my tail when he was in the picture. I believe what pissed him off toward me was my tendency to 'pull his covers' in the form of innocent questions - once he wanted to get a good price on car upholstery to correct his failed attempt, he told the shop "The guy who put this in" and I asked "What guy was that?" when I had been standing by watching him try to install the carpet himself

Even though the lesson there was probably the necessity of learning to lie, I still suck at it

And I think even today I'm still trying to punish him for his undeserved anger towards me
