Boy, do I ever feel selfish right now

I just told my youngest daughter that I'm not logging off right now, because she wants to get online. I'm on here more than anybody else, and normally when somebody asks to get online, I give them the computer either right then or within about 20 minutes. She was on it for an hour or so earlier and then I got on about an hour and a half ago or so. I haven't had much of a chance to get on here today and still have some things I haven't checked yet that I check every day. She's mad, but just went to bed.

The problem is, she is so sweet (in a moody kind of way) and will do anything for me that I ask her to, and I feel bad when she doesn't ask me for much and I tell her no. I don't want to get offline because there isn't anything else to do and I slept till about 1 today.

When I got up at 1, I was walking through the livingroom to go to the kitchen and turn the coffee on and I opened the curtains and my other friend (the retired psychologist, not the meth head) was coming up the driveway and she stayed for about two hours! I hate company when I first wake up usually and I wanted to get online and do my thing. But I was polite and nice, and when she left I had to go with my older daughter to the store, then not 30 minutes after I sat down when we got back I had to go with her to take her fiance some lunch at his work. (She is just now learning to drive and doesn't want to go anywhere alone yet). Then about an hour after that, while getting up and down to do housework in between doing stuff on here, my husband came home and I signed off and went to the store and cooked supper etc. That was about 5. I got back on around 10 or 1030 maybe.

So, even though I know I shouldn't feel bad, I do.

Story of my life! Since you know that logically you shouldn't feel selfish I won't start pointing out all the reasons why, but just the fact that you think you are despite all you're doing kind of shows that you aren't very selfish. But a dash of selfishness here and there is healthy for everyone. Think of all the parents who wouldn't even think twice about something like hogging the computer once in a while.
