Should I go leave school right away now?

I'm just sick. I'm just sick of all this s**t my school has given me. Every now and then, Every teacher at my school hounds me, always commenting on s**t I do, whether I do something good or bad, and then they say all sorts of s**t to demotivate and humiliate me. This s**t makes me feel like slitting my wrists. It's a madness.

I'm in the final year of school and I want to quit school right away because this s**t won't end. Do you guys think I should or not?

I'm headed back to school myself and I expect that it'll be pretty far from easy, so I feel for you. I want to say to keep your head down and push forward, but if it's getting so bad that suicide is becoming a legitimate concern, then you need to first and foremost address that with a professional. Believe me, I've been in the same spot. Maybe it's two or more issues that are present, masquerading as only one insurmountable problem? One step at a time. Keep fighting through as long as you're able to, we're often stronger than we or others give us credit for. The discouragement and ridicule can be a galvanizing thing, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger, etc. Hang in there.

If it's truly that bad, you should either record it or report it and try to get a new teacher.

If it's a high school, you have to finish HS. There are so few jobs in the world left that don't require a HS degree.

I hate to be stark, but it sounds like it will end in about a year.

In the meantime, the best revenge for this treatment sounds like getting ahead, finishing up, doing your best, then finishing up the year. Once it's done, give a sweet smile (or sly smile, your choice), then look them right in the eye. And with your eyes, tell them: "You wanted to push me down. You shoved, but I'm not down. Now I've graduated. Regardless of what you wanted."

I quit normal school to learn with the open university.

It can be an option without losing an education.

One local kid who failed to finish high school was jailed in Oklahoma when he was 18 for a little less than a month until he was bailed out. When he was bailed out, I asked him how the food was. He said it was pretty bad.

After his hearing, he got credit for time served and only had to serve another 5 days in jail to complete his sentence. After he got out this time, I asked him how the food was and he said it was pretty good.

I was kind of surprised, but then he explained that they made him a trustee and the trustees got to eat at a local pizza buffet.

I then told him that he had found the most perfect job possible for himself. He asked what I meant and I answered, "Where else can you get a promotion in just thirty days without even having a high school diploma?"

No because without school you'll be able to do absolutely NOTHING. And you're in your final year so why would you even want to quit now. Makes no sense.

No, don't do it. You're in your final year of school, you only have one more year left. Trust me, it doesn't seem like a big deal now but I've seen my friends go through with it and regret it immensely. It can be very trying to get your diploma or GED after you're done and even if you don't bother it'll be difficult to get most jobs without a high school diploma. Life will catch up with you and you'll be working, maybe having relationships, children, financial problems and it'll get harder and harder to get that diploma. I find that the work is easier at school as well. If you drop out of school and do correspondance and GED tests, that's probably going to be even more difficult and that's if you get around to doing that. It'll also look better if you want to go to college that you stayed in school.

No, don't do it. It's a decision that most people regret. I've seen too many of my friends struggle with that.

Do you have a guidance counselor at your school? If you do go to them for advice and counselling.

I quit school and later I got my ged. It was easy. I didn't take classes for it or anything. I just got a practice book from the book store, did that, and went and did the test and passed.

If you only have one year left you probably should try to make it through. When I quit I had 2 years left and don't even know where I would have gone to school. At that point I had just gotten out of a reform school and hadn't been in a normal class in a normal school since sixth grade and I had been counting down until the time I could quit pretty much since I started school. I would not have made it in a normal high school.

I dropped out of my final year and it still haunts me sometimes. Get som help and stay in school.
