I'd say try writing some form of a book. It accomplishes something; helps vent your feelings, and when taken as a career, requires minimal communication with other human beings.

Writing as a career requires minimal communication? I'm sure you're not talking about working at a business, right?

Well, I was generally talking about novel-writing, not stuff like newspapers. If you ever plan to turn it into a career; the most you'll ever have to do is probably just to try and sort out publication deals with companies, and that can be done over the internet anyway. Guess I should've been more clear on that xD

Well, so far this summer, I've had six short stories published but only one paid ($25). I'm writing a novel now. This should take me about five months. I wish I was like those WriNoMo people who can write a novel in a month. I hope finding a publisher is just a matter of sorting out who I want. It'll make my life renumeratively better.

I write well with respect to factual things, but lack the kind of creativity that would let me write fiction.

A combination of fear, shame, depression and cowardice will forever keep me from circulating any ideas I come up with.

Besides people wouldn't like them anyway, or they'd have me committed.

Possibly both.

W-well, I've heard some places publish anonymously; or allow you to use a pen name, so if that helps... ^_^

I just seem to find it could fit us, due to the lack of dependency on communication. I encourage everyone to at least try it at least once xD. It gets a lot easier once you get started ^^

I've made the mistake of sharing my art/writing with others before. Not a mistake I care to repeat.

When people use your art as a way to illustrate how awful/bad/stupid/evil/gay/sick/lame/(insert pedantic insult here) you are. It's a good indicator that you should not be creating things.

Yikes. Looks like you've got it kind of bad. o_o

Have you ever thought of trying to share it on the site? If you need any self-esteem improvements, or just general critique on it, there's probably some people willing to help out in another section of the site. My teachers (Currently a senior in high school) actually think my writing is pretty good, so I never considered the fact that someone could go that far in the other direction.

EDIT: Here's the link to that section of the site: http://www.wrongplanet.net/forum4.html

Same for me. I do have the project to write, but I never get through to start anything. :( It would propably suck anyway.

I love writing, and I have always wrote stories for as long as I can remember, but they aren't good enough to get a career out of. They are too basic to sell and get money from. I might be able to write books for toddlers, but I don't think it's that simple. If it were that simple, everybody would be doing it to make money.

I don't see why someone would want to read my writing it would be too depressing for it to be published, most likely...and I have my last cigarette, after this I have to try and find enough change for some since I only have enough cash for my next doctors(and hopefully psych evaluation thing or whatever) and potentially my next prescription refill so I will have to dig up change if I want cigarettes...anyways no one wants to read about that.

I've found writing to be the best therapy. I began a journal this summer.
It helped me greatly through my lingering depression.
I've been actually suicidal and almost killed my self more than once.
I was really there, ready to jump, but I changed my mind.
It's not worth it. I'll say that much.

Ok here is something close to the last thing I wrote....kinda more organized but anyways would people want to read stuff like this:

Cigarettes are so much better than those nicotine vaporizer replacements or electronic cigs
The e-cigs just don't come with the same cold death like embrace cigarette smoke does.
Smoking a cigarette is like the cold death like embrace of the reaper when he comes to take you away.
Its a real **** trying to quit when one feels that way.
