His name was Edward/Kee-Kee, and he was a solid blackie with deep green eyes. He would've been 10 next spring. He was a big boy, but he had a high-pitched peep for a meow, so we called him the peeper-cheeper. He was very good at catching voles and lizards. He's not been around for 3 weeks. His sisters Squeaky and Elizabeth/Bear are still here. I just hope he's found another house where there are no dogs, kids, or other cats. I think our neighbor's cats ran him off, especially the grey tabby. It came onto our porch and pooped on the glider.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have lost 3 cats since I was 7, one of which I never really knew what happened to as he just disappeared (but it is thought he might have been gotten by coyotes). Cats are special animals, they listen to you, cuddle you, and seem to know how you are feeling better than you know.

Really so sorry.....cats are special companions. Not knowing is so hard. Take care of yourself, Mindsigh.

That's really sad, nothing makes me sadder than a runaway kitty. Did you chip him? Here where i live it is compulsory. I long for the day someone is able to put a GPS device in your cat like that chip. Wouldn't that be the best idea in the world? Don't give up hope though. I saw this TV show today about runaway cats. There was one cat who slipped into a nearby factory, into a shipping container. That container set out on a world journey, from somewhere in America to France. 30 days without food and when the doors of the container opened there he was safe and sound.

That is sad, I lost my cat in the past couple years...I mean he liked to go out and fight other cats and other animals for all I know, he even tried pouncing on a large deer with antlers once. So I knew it was likely one day he just wouldn't return and so it happened, I had him for 14 years though and he was a pretty happy cat most his life I think my parents divorce even upset him and my moms new boyfriend probably didn't help. I mean honestly I think my cat more or less committed suicide by Mountain Lion because I knew he could have taken on a fox and with coyotes since they make noise and travel in groups I know he could avoid them so the only thing I can figure is he tried fighting a mountain lion. Well anyways I hope he enjoyed most of his 14 years.

we got a new cat and it had kittens, one of the kittens is sort of mine but its just not the same as my other cat so I can't bond with him the same.
