My younger son went to work tonight. The 17yo who cut the tip of his pinky off but it was sewed back on Tuesday. He works at a liqour store (don't ask) where there is a pool table. Well, the kids who own the store (mid 20's friends of my kids) also own this building next to it and they have a "party place" there. They rent it out for private parties.

It was a party tonight, and there were 200 black people there. A homecoming party cause it's homecoming here. Well there was a fight, a big one. Some white boy that got in there God knows how, ended up throwing a lighter to somebody else and it hit this black dude in the face and he apologized, but when you get a bunch of drunk rednecks (black people can be rednecks too) there is gonna be a fight. Black dude punched white dude in the face, then everybody started fighting, then somebody got thrown through the window. So they called the cops and they didn't show up till it was over, cause the only ones on duty this time of night and on a weekend are kids. Grownups don't want to work this late, we want to be home in bed. The cops were about 17 or 18 and came and laughed and told the kids who own the store "well what did you expect?" and my son yelled at them and called them racist and got in a fight with one of them that used to be in his class at school, and so there was nobody to call to break it up. His friend stood there and watched, as did the other cop.

They have now gone back up there at 4am to close up and tape up the window.
