Well, I faked an illness to get out of my PT job this week. That is not something that I usually would do.

I have been feeling like a raw and infected nerve. A part of this could be the reality closing in on me that numbing myself with addictive substances and behaviors is not an option at this point. It is my choice to abstain. Now I am really feeling an overwhelming wave of self-disgust, self-pity, and three decades worth of unresolved frustration. My previous coping tactics are what I have to avoid.

The next time I see my therapist is on the 28th. I really wish there was an easier way through this than this.

I feel odd too just now, different from my usual self and i don't like it ..... not right at all.

An intense desire and need to withdraw, to be away from people and time.

I've faked illnesses before . . . usually when I just couldn't cope with the job. Or if I'm working too much. I hate doing it; especially if someone else is inconvenienced. Sometimes it's necessary though.
