Lots of my coworkers and/or their families are dying

And it's starting to freak me out. The guy who works on our central heat and air died suddenly last week. I am filling in at the receptionist desk and a man whose wife died last night just came by to pick up her last paycheck. Another coworker whose teenage daughter has CF and is very sick in the hospital just called and asked to be transferred to her supervisor and she sounded terrible and I'm afraid her daughter may have died. I didn't ask her about it because she sounded like she could barely talk. I didn't recognize her voice, she sounded so bad. I transferred her before she lost it completely. I am afraid to check my email anymore. And I don't want to tell anybody because of confidentiality stuff. Thanks for listening.

Death happens, unfortunately. It's just a part of life.

Sorry if that sounds offensive, but hopefully you catch the metaphor.

I'm sorry to hear about that, but if it gives you any comfort, know that Mother and the Sisters are surely praying for them. I used to volunteer in your mail room there and the folks there pray for people all the time. At least they did then. Of course, I put my foot in my mouth and wasn't asked back, but hey, that's just what I do.

We are all very thoroughly prayed for, that's for sure. But it's just getting extra-heavy lately. I'm offering up my headache and lack of lunch and any other thing that happens today for them all. But I still hope God doesn't take it as an invitation to get medieval on me (as He sometimes does, it seems like).

Get you a brown scapular and put it on. Those work. I can also give you some Hoodoo stuff to do if you want.
