Yeah, my PROTECTED PAYEE - the very woman who should not screw me out of my money - just screwed me out of my money.

Last week, I had about $100 left for grocery money this month.

Today, she told me I had less than $2.

I asked her where the money went. She claimed my power bill was more than usual, so she had to cut into my spending money to pay it. I asked her to check if the money that was set aside each month for my power bill was used for that. The smug c**t refused to check that, and she got angry with me for wondering where the hell that $100 went.

There is nothing I can do about this. I may as well break my sobriety. f**k it. If a stupid and smug c**t like this has the complete power to make my life a living hell, there is no point in my continuing to try to make something of my life.

rather than falling off the wagon, why not just change payees. much less self-destructive.

for my power and natural gas bills i pay a prearranged amount every month, but quarterly (or whenever the company comes out to check) the meters are verified and my utility bills are adjusted accordingly. this can create a massive bill at times, if my prearranged direct debit amount is not accurate. i don't know if this is the case for your situation, KagamineLen, but you might want to check why the bill amount was so much different.

you also might want to check into food banks if you needed that money for food.

The money is not the real issue here.

The real issue here is that anybody can do anything that they want to me, and there is nothing that I can really do about it.

I thought that issue would go away when I entered adulthood. It has not.

well, i guess the goal is to become more responsible with your life so that other people are not making decisions about your money. that is definitely a good future to work towards.

Why don't you have control over your money?

Aspergers or not you have a right to know and see were your money is going! That includes written statements, recepts and things like that. In most places Its called accounting and being accountable, no one gets a dollar out of me without proof of were and why its needed. Being an aspie who has a really hard time putting people in their place and standing up for myself I know I have to be extra careful and extra good at accounting for my finances, and I do look after my own. Your bill may have gone up alot but you have a right to know, you have the right to see your bills. Demand an itemised monthly balence statement from your payee, say its part of your learning independance becouse it is.

I contacted a local autism advocacy group today.

They looked into the situation for me, and the conclusion they came up with is that it is within my legal rights to fire the payee service and start managing my own money again. I was signed up with them some time ago because of my addiction issues, but I have been sober for a while, and with a note from my therapist (who is willing to write such a note now), I can go to Social Security and have the SSDI check sent to me instead of them. The advocacy group stated that if there were any problems, they would help me out.

I understand that payee services are there and they can help people who are incapable of handling their own money - like I was three years ago. I'm still autistic, but I'm not still a practicing addict. I can now handle my own money better than those people can. And that is what I will be doing.
