Sorry you're so anxious. Ever try meditation?

If not, there are tons of guided meditations on Youtube. Here's an easy one:

Tim Page, author of Parallel Play(and fellow aspie), says meditation really helps him. It helps me tons.

I find when I'm on the verge of a melt down it's usually due to the fact that I'm not practicing healthy boundaries, not being honest with myself and giving an honest yes and no. So I ask myself, "What is it that is bothering me?" Then I come up with a solution. If it's millions of thoughts running in my mind, I get out a sheet of paper and organize and prioritize them. If it's too bright in the room, or too noisy, I remove myself from that place. If I said yes to someone when I really wanted to say no, I apologize and reconsider my decision in order to be kind to myself. And, as always, I can only speak for myself! Meltdown city, I can certainly understand!

I like the meditation idea, but also try eating something. I've read that we get really grouchy when we're hungry and I don't always feel hungry, but when I start getting short or curt my husband makes me a sandwich and it's like he flipped a switch. Just a thought.

It is a delicate situation. You want people to be aware of the problem but you don't necessarily want to be hospitalized. I wish I had some good advice.
