I'm in desperete need of help RIGHT NOW
4 months ago, I no longer was able to live with my mom, who doesn't have aspergers, but a lot of other problems. We couldn't even have the simplest conversations without driving each other crazy. So I went to my sister, and tried to find a service that could a help a aspie with no money, employment, transportation, or life skills. There's nothing, no government agency that can help me, only private institutions that cost more then college.
have to go back to by mom now, I can't stay with my sister for much longer; I have to leave in a month. Everyone's saying since I have no choice, I HAVE to make it work with my mom. You guys know it doesn't work that way with us. You can't "make" our problems work out just because our options run out. Bottom line, I NEED A PLACE TO STAY! I live be living in Norwalk, in Farifield county, Connecticut. If ANYONE can do ANYTHING for me, please, I'm begging, please help me. Total desperation here. My phone number is [redacted]. I'm Mike, 31 years old. I wouldn't do this if I wasn't completely out of choices here.

hey...I live in a different area but your story sounds rough. you got to get out of your family's place, sounds its really getting you down. if you could even work part time someplace you could get a bit of money to pay for your own place, and maybe get along with the family better when you visit them. it sounds that you fall in some terrible gap between not being able to find a job and not getting unemployment benefits or disability benefits or something.
just read your other post...someone else said same thing without transportation though i see its tough to get things sorted. i worked in supermarkets and restaurants and stuff like that in the past and it was ok even if i barely talked to anyone. if you have any substance issues you should get those sorted out somehow.
Something to keep in mind is Mental Illness Advocacy Groups. I know that Aspergers is not a mental illness, but if you have ever been treated for say, depression , anxiety, etc, you can register with these groups on the basis of that and then apply for housing waiting lists with special mention of your aspergers. They can also help with applying for disability benefits and employment. The only catch is that you need some official record of "mental illness", and autism related stuff doesn't count. There is a group like that in NY called "The Federation of Organizations".

Check with your local church pastor/priest . They tend to be the best repository for 'I need help urgently' matters when it comes to housing, employment, etc. You dont need to be religious to ask for any info they can give you.
