God's cruel jokes on humanity
God has created a species of beings with incredibly irrational emotional traits.
For example - accepting that people have their own issues is one of the most impossible things for many people in the world to do. Taking everything personally has been programmed in as a knee-jerk reaction, instead.
Many people cannot happily accept that life is actually great for them. They always strive for more and more, even if their situation is better than half the citizens of the world to begin with.
I am one of these many people. f*****g hell.
My logic and my emotions are finding themselves at odd. I feel vast discontent, then my logic tells me I have many reasons to not feel that discontent at all.
I regret the past, and I wish to not only shut the door on it - I want to build an effigy of my past self (the practicing addict) to burn and then forget.
My head likes going in four or five different directions at once these days.
What will it take to be able to accept my own limitations, my own gifts, my own entirety, and to embrace it all?
Last week, 437 garment workers died when the building they were working in collapsed. Each worker averaged around $37/month.
