Queues
I wish they didn't exist. People get so incredibly territorial. A man called me a daft cow today, even though I said to him that he could go in front! I sharply replied, "There's no need to be like that". Then I just got back off the bus and walked away fast. He sort of tried to grab me and say, "Come on", but I was too upset. Perhaps he realised he'd been a dick.
But still, I can't stand queues. Even if you're perfectly polite to people, they make such a huge deal out of nothing.

You may just have too high an opinion of the human race.
Have you ever seen those feeding frenzies that animals do? They scrammble and climb over one another and even nip each other as they try and grab as much food as they can. I think people are animals too, with varying thickness's of the veneer of civility. So you want to try and find those with thicker layers of decency, and not expect much from the rest. I am not sure exactly how you find them easily, but watching how they respond in those types of situations is one clue perhaps. I wish it was easier, like you could tap on their head and if it makes a hollow sound it means they are more rodent-like.
That's very rude of him to speak like that. It would have upset me too.
Queues are one of the levels of Hell. My strategy is to look down and wait. Buses are awful; grocery shopping lines are bad too and when carts become involved it can get nasty. When I was working as a cashier several times I heard harsh words exchanged because someone pushed into someone else with their cart.
Hahaha! That's an interesting comparison about the feeding frenzy! It *is* similar though, if not the same.
I didn't have a choice with this guy, he just made a point about me being in front. The bus stopped *right* in front of me though, and I didn't think it was that big a deal, and there were only a handful of people and an empty bus. But yeh, animals don't think like that.
Ann2011: Queues are certainly one of the levels of Hell. People can be really nasty when it comes to queues. It's like they become animals fighting each other, like Toy_Soldier said.
Ever noticed with carts/trolleys you get "aisle rage"? Like road rage, but in a supermarket, lol.
