Who hates Valintines Day?

I use 2 like it b-cuz of the candy, now that i'm older, i hate it b-cuz I can't find somebody 2 love.

I voted no. Never hated it, and before, I didn't care! However, things changed about a week or two after I joined WP...

I never get or got candy on Valentine's, BTW.

I was never one for Valentine's Day. But I like the Spongebob Valentine's episode.

I get hit twice. My wife is Brasilian but she knows the States celebrate Valentines of the 14th of Feb. In Brasil "Dia dos Namorados" (same things as Valentines) is 12 of June. She never heard of the concept of "double jeopardy"!?!

I don't pay attention to Holidays unless it involves me getting things, and Love was never something I went looking for, it's better if you just don't worry about it and let it come to you, because trying to force it only makes it worse.

Its all a ploy to get people to buy things. But maybe i'm just bitter about not having a date.

I hate it because it's not even a celebration of anything, just a huge corporate holiday. That being said, I expect I will be with my boyfriend, though I would have been anyway. The date has no relevance.

Hate it because its a waste of hard-earned cash.

I don't hate it, but seeing as I've had nobody to celebrate it with I don't necessairily like it either.

I don't really care about Valentine's Day.

Someone once told me its a made up holiday to make more money. I like it for the candy. When things go on sale, I buy a bunch of stuff. I doubt I be doing it again this year.

It is not bad. Valentines candy is cheaper after the holiday, and I usually don't care about the day itself.

Valentines Day amuses me, people get so stressed out about it, it's just a day on a calendar, big deal.

You don't have to spend cash to enjoy Valentine's Day, nor do you even have to be with anyone. With these in mind, you have three options:

If you have someone, just spend it with them (outside of the fact that we have to go to work/school of course) and let them know that you appreciate them: Cook them a meal (even if it's just fish and chips, it's the thought that counts) and spend quality time with that person.
If you are single, snuggle in and watch your favourite DVD (I used to do this when I was single and enjoy it), eat your favourite foods and treat yourself well. No one else knows what you like quite like you do so be good to yourself.
If you really aren't that bothered about it, treat it like a normal day.

Don't worry, its just a day. Its Feb 14, no different from the 13th or the 15th except people in relationships have to go buy stuff.
