I just found out that on my LSAT examination I scored a 143 and achieved a 21 percentile score. This is extremely bad and means that if I have any hope of being accepted into law school I must re-do the test. I don't think I'll do any better a second time around.

I am a failure. I have applied teacher's college too, but doubt I'll get in. So I don't know what I will do if law school and teacher's college falls through. I don't want to work minimum wage jobs the rest of my life and I am not too sure for how long I will still be welcome at home. I will only be working now full time until April when I get laid off for the summer. I just want to die. I think it would be easier for everyone.

I am writing this because I am too upset to sleep and it is 1:03 AM now.

I learned a long time ago that these kinds of "failures" (that is, setbacks) are not worth ending it all over--and believe me, I've had my moments, past and present.

If possible, review the material and try taking it again. Really. Also, see what else you can apply for, and you don't know for sure you didn't get into teacher's college, right?

April is still several months away. I understand how you feel, but don't give up just yet. There are options.

I am sorry to hear the bad news. I know it must be scary and disappointing at the same time. Try not to project too far into the future. You are not doomed to a lifetime of minimum wage jobs just because you did poorly on this test. You still have time to come up with a plan B. Good luck!

Instead of dying, which would be the system winning:

- rebel against the whole educational achiever and high ability idea, ethic that causes misery by tying folks' self esteem to ambitions that are always capable of not turning out like they were forecast and not delivering results.

Did you take a LSAT preparation/review course? I did that for the MCAT for medical school and it really helped. If you really want to be a lawyer study and review for the test, take a course, and re take that test.

You can do it. Do not give up yet.

I bought a prep guide book for forty dollars. The review course is too expensive for my budget - just over 500 dollars for a 30-hour course.

On second note, I just went for my beginner's driver's license test a failed for the second time.

If plan 'A' doesn't work out, you need to work on forming a plan 'B', and I don't mean suicide. Its not realistic to think that there are only high pay professional jobs and minimum wage ones. The majority of jobs are in the middle range and there are some you will do just fine in and make enough to get on reasonably.

i think life can take many odd twists and turns and what you perceive as a failure at one time might actually lead you somewhere that is exiting and interesting that you would never have experienced if you had succeeded if that makes sense

Just from personal experience, I think it can be hard figuring out what to do with yourself when your brain functions a little differently from the norm. Sometimes I've found by asking myself why I seem to have difficulty with a particular task, I develop a deeper understanding as to how I process information and what I'm naturally good at. What is unique to you? How can you capitalize on these unique qualities and your particular perspective to advance yourself in life?

Dont give up and dont kill yourself regardless what happends.
